210g Things with Stings tank.

Man that stinks!! Are they making good for the mess up?

Well, he's fixing it, is all. And delivering it. It's our fault for not making the diagram clearer and his fault for not using logic and questioning. There was one pic in the group of pics that was misleading. I'll be sure to post pics of what happened. In the end we'll actually get a black back panel which I forgot to tell him about. The tank itself looks awesome. He really did some outstanding work. I could have done without the heart attack, however.

The look on his face....

And then when we realized it could be fixed..... I swear I heard everyone's heart start to beat again. The price of 3/4" acrylic sheets would be hard for a small business to absorb without tears.

See the hole that is on the left in the overflowflow wall? That hole was through the clear back panel on the outside wall to the right marked by the red dot. That whole back wall to the right is a black acrylic patch, basically.

Very cool thread cant wait to see the tank up and running. I will be tagging along. One question tho what kind of housing are you putting over the sump? I have never heard of putting the sump outside before I cant wait to see it.:bounce1:

We'll see how smart it is when we do it, I guess. O.O

It's nerve-wracking trying something that involves cutting a big ole hole in the exterior of your new house O.O O.O

Today I'm building the standpipes and sanding. Tonight we'll make a final decision on the second pump and order it.

Would it be tacky to publically record all the little costs of this build so peeps can get an idea? At the beginning of the year I started recording everything.... interesting findings, I must say.

the tank and that scorp look so awesome! good work on the cabinet too, you might want to do a contemporary design with flat panels and doors, it would look really nice.

It's been crazy trying to work with this tank. We're trying to drill the holes for the top of the stand, but every time we need to move it we have to wait for someone to come help get it off the stand... and then on... then off. I'm hoping to have that part done tonight. The weight wasn't even something I was considering. Normally all that is needed is my husband and I. I need to feed the kids more so they'll be of more help :-)

Today I put in a special order for an antennate, radiata and a sphex. The sphex will be hard to locate. First in will be the mombasae, inimicus and brasiliensis that we already have. If I can get any of the dwarf lions to get big enough, they'll go in too. Maybe it's time to turn up their tank temp and feed them more.

Keep up the good work. I told you those things are freaking heavy!! It's such a pita going up and down and up and down. Our stock lists are going to be very similar when it's all done. I've only got a few more critters to go in before I'm done.
Hope you can find that sphex, if you do I'd love to know where you found it ;-)
