240g tank w/fish room build

Those came out sweet! If the black silicone is going to be a regret, now is the best time to do it.

Nope in future builds yes... This time it's staying that way. Got some the sump and refugium drilled and the pump area designed. I need to get some different fittings :(

The check valve is a size reference. That will be a 2 inch Union ball valve. The sump and refugium will go direct into inlet of pump. I will have a t joining both. Both sections will be flooded with water so I think it will work well

Looks good, are you going to add any rubber padding underneath the pump? I know it in the garage but vibrations travel

Yes I have one under the pump on the tank I'm running now. I drilled the holes a bit higher then the pump on the sump for the pad.

I would add a valve and union on each side of the check valve for cleaning / replacement

I know I have to add something on the top of the check valve but I don't know why I need one on both sides? I am trying to find room for just 1 valve above the check valve.

you are correct on the side that connects to he pump since there is no more pluming you can get away with not having a union, you just have to take it off the pump. Since you have two True Union Valves after the pump you can take the entire pump out and then get the Check Valve off.

By having two unions one on each side it just makes it a little easier to perform maintenance IMO.

I let from refuge on right and sump on left done. I think it came out great. This way using the 2 inch union that has a smaller hole to let water through... Since I'm feeding with 2 the pump shouldn't be limited on water from it.

Zoomed out

Very nice!, if you were to put a 90 on the outlet and run it to the end of the tank you could wet test the sumps by themselves...lol basically a closed loop.

Very nice Roger!

Thx excited to get water in them

I am so close to getting all the return lines done. I drilled the hole to get the 1 1-2 pipe from one set of tank to the other set

It will have a union on each side of the hole so I can remove an entire side and reinstall easily

So with all that progress that you have made when do you think you will have it up and running ...I can't wait to see the final result..looks good roger

Left side. Yes I will support the pipe when all said and done. Will try to get right side Done and chiller plumbed in today. Will use this to mark accurate spots for holes to be drilled for the pipe to go up to each tank
