250 gallon build thread

I will consider the build done, when the trim is up, drywall is painted, door is on, work bench is functional and lighting rack is aluminum. Then the rest will just be improvements.

How goes the build, Mike?

Everything is looking great. I can easily imagine spending a whole lot of time relaxing in that sectional couch.

Everything has been going great. I really have not been testing much because with water changes everything is really looking good. I decided to test my nitrates last night, and they came back buried on 0! I am really glad I have a fuge and a shallow sand bed. So far so good. Knock on wood!

heck, he can just keep mine, he doesn't need to barrow...
what does your temp usually say at? do you notice any flucuation with the season changes?

79 to 81 right now, was 77 to 79. so yes. with it getting warmer I can tell I am going to have to mount a fan on the lights.

Almost forgot to add, my Red Sea Regal should be in tonight. I am ready to see if all the preperation has worked. The QT is ready to go!

I have had a bad few weeks, I lost a pair of Potters Angels, a Regal Angel and an Oregon Tort. However my friend Kevin AKA Aquarius77 has decided to take a break from the hobby and I am holding his corals for if and when he comes back.

How did you lose the Angels?

They never would eat for me. Blueface is still doing great. I am going Saturday to pick up a majestic that has been established in a tank for over a year. Buying established fish from indiviuals is the way to go.
