I thought you were supposed to wait 24 hours for silicone to dry before you fill it with water?
If you haven't noticed Deric's last thread was locked because of people like yourself offering nothing but badgering. If you don't have anything productive to add to this thread, beat it. Deric is new to RC and needs to feel welcomed, yes he is rushing things and yes if he had slowed down and asked what to do when he first got the tank we probably wouldn't be here right now but let's help him out.you are. but then again he may of found some more new stuff his lfs said would work in 10 minutes.
Already??? What did you fix it with? There has not been near enough time for silicone to cure...

Deric,
I sure hope that you allowed the "reef safe" aquarium silicone to set before you put water back in your tank. and the only way to fix a leak is to remove the old seals and re-seal it.
I say reef safe because it needs to be pure silicone with no mildew resistors added.
Ok Resealed the leak filling her back up i tell ya this really sucks lol
how many watts are we talking here? thats really what you are looking for. but softies such as zoas and mushrooms and leathers demand the least amount of lighting.
300 watts for a 250 gal tank is not much. also this tank you are getting, is it glass or acrylic? 20 gals is still pretty small sump for a tank your size IMO.
reread my post i edited it.
then in that case get glass cut for your sump. mixing acrylic and glass tends to not work so well when it comes to sealing it up.
