27 clowns in the same tank 27 months~Thread of the Month

Hi folks, thanks for the comments!
Time for an update. Clowns are six years old last month. Life got busy and tank got neglected (not cleaned or fed except pellets from auto feeder). I finally scraped down the algae and can look in the tank again. Here is a quick iPhone pic:

There seems to be much fewer clownfish now. Some of the clowns do not look robust and there is a bit more aggression between clowns. A little LPS recession, anemones are fine. Don't know but I think the lack of abundant food triggered the aggressive behavior. I now see clowns chasing each other across the tank and there are some who look pretty thin. Hopefully regular feeding of frozen will mellow them out.

Amazing tank!!! Loved all the clowns together. And the nems, out of this world cool!
Sorry for your recent lose in clown numbers.
Best of luck and thanks for sharing!
More pics always appreciated.
I plan on placeing 4-6 of my snowcasso/darwin offspring (they are only a month old now) in a solana mixed reef, i may go 7 based on your advice, so thanks!

good question with the nem and coloring up so do you still have the same amount of clown you started with and have you tried addin any more in

Wow, I just got finished reading that you can't have more than one pair of clownfish in the same tank (although the guy at the lfs said it was fine!). I have two occellaris, a mated pair, and was wanting to add another pair in a 29 gallon tank. How did you do it?

there is a difference between

there is a difference between

raising them in that environment and adding to an existing established pair.

With your current set up, I would say that you have about a 95% chance that your current mated pair would kill any new comers at some point. Please don't attempt to add any more.
Her tank is huge, and she has a dominant pair with juveniles in a tank full of good anemone hiding spots.

Favorite tank I have ever seen. I breed clowns and am going to give this a try in a 34 I have on a smaller scale.
