Hi Mona,

Nice video, I love your tank. Do you ever have the problem of the clowns stealing the food from the Mag? Mine use to steal from their nem, but I guess when you feed that much at one time, there is plenty to go around.

Looking good,
Aaron

apayne & jadeguppy,
Plenty of food to go around though it is a challenge to feed the open brains. There is food all over the tank but the fish thinks the brains are their personal dinner plates.
here is the other side of the tank during the same feeding session:

I've been feeding like this everyday for the past month. They were only getting fed once a week before that (if they were lucky). Lots of anemone growth in the last month. Also a touch of hair algae and hydroids.

I thought the anemones looked bigger. Have you nitrates gone up? I wonder how long until most on the anemones start splitting.

Nitrates are up---around 10 or 15. I should get that second pump on my Euroreef skimmer going again. Too much maintenance on those pumps. The magnifica looks double in size and I have removed 15 BTA's in the last two months. 6 just last week.

second pump? It is possible to run two pumps on it? BTW, why did you decide to start feeding like this? Was it to encourage splits? On a side note and not to hijack, I blew a bulb and could only light each side of the tank every other day for nearly a week. My rbta look white with pink tips. Have you ever had this problem? Do they recover their former color within a few weeks?

As always, love the tank! I added two rbta and a gbta, one near the torch my occ. were hosting. Now the female has decided she like a gsp rock on the bottom of the far side of the tank. Go figure!

jadeguppy,
I have a really big skimmer with two recirculating pumps on it.
The feeding encourages everything to grow. The Ricordia, zoos, open brain all have grown markedly. Also, clowns don't generally lay eggs unless they are well fed, so I just wanted to see what a difference it would make. In my experience, it takes many months for anemones to regain their color after bleaching.
Clowns are sillly, that is why they are called clowns!
Thanks for the comment,

how many clowns are still in there?

Don't know. Kind of hard to count. Lots.

Thanks, all.
