It will be interesting to see how many survive. Two little guys out so far and they have "baby immunity" in the anemones.

i must say i was really thinking of doing a tank like this after a visit to a local aquarium place in L.I ny and seeing their anenome tank with clowns, they had several different species of clowns and anenome's. after being a sps guy for yr's then a tank crash { same day i went to visit aquarium } i really looked at doing this, alot easier then sps, then i found this page, all i can say is awesome. wont quite be on the scale of yours 3'x2'x22" but figure i could do 5-10 clowns and a trio of lubbock wrasse's, just beautiful is all i can say

Thanks all for the kind remarks.

NyReefNoob,
That's great! Glad you like my tank. Be sure you pick clowns that are the same species and juiveniles. Also, I would not recommend trying with any clowns except percula, ocellaris or skunks, as other clowns are more aggressive and less likely to accept group living.

Happy Birthday!

Happy Birthday!

Clowns are 4 years old! :celeb2: :celeb1: :celeb3:

I am thinking on revamping my tank. The two Percs in the Magnifica have much nicer coloring than the ones in the BTAs. I am really thinking about clearing most of the BTAs out and getting a couple of Giganteas. I would probably have to add sand before I do that and I have to keep enough BTA's until the Giganeas get big so there would not be fighting....

Opinions?

Wow, that would be crazy to see this tank lose all of the BTA's. But, if you end up doing that, I would love to take a few of the BTA's off your hands... they'll go into a great home. I'm actually in the market for a few RBTA's right now...

Just wanted to chime in. I got a clone one one of Mobert's RBTA 5 years ago (cant believe its been that long!).

I have traded or sold over 15 clones and when I broke down my 90g last week I had 7 RBTA. I sold 6 and gave one to a local buddy/breeder, along with my pair of Allardi clowns.

I have yet to see another RBTA match the color of Mobert's.

Here is a photo of my clones before I broke the tank down.

I plan to grab a small clone of the last one I had once available.

Great thread Mona.
