Alternating or random movement is very important in a tank. Mine are Tunze Streams on the older Tunze 7094 multi-controller.
The movement helps to bring food and take away excrement.

i have been keeping reef for the last 15 years plus and i have only recently acquired a green BTA such as the ones on this thread. Unfortunately i had it for only about 10 months as it went to the powerhead even when i put the ph inside a cage, it managed to go inside of it. Long story short i would like to obtain a replacement if anyone know whewre i can get one. the one i had look very much like the ones in the photos of this thread. i got it from a local reefer, he only have one and he sold it to me, it was Greg Hiller. too sad i did not even want to tell him about it. the thing was probably 10 years old and it died under my care

Did all those anemones come from the same one or did you purchase them separately? I thought anemone's fight each other. I've never seen that many all together that were not offspring from the main one (or at least from the same colony). That is amazing.

Thanks you all for your interest and kind remarks.
Update: Two of the Clarkii have paired up and laid down a clutch of eggs. Unfortunately, as most had expected and I had hoped not, the aggressive behavior accelerated such that two Clarkii occupied three large anemones and the Percs were sardined into smaller anemones (not that they objected as they always slept that way). Though there were not yet any nipped or torn fins, the Clarkii are now in the sump awaiting a trip to the lfs as they exuded bad karma. One Clarkii remains in the tank and is watched for aberrant behavior. On a side note, I caught the pair after the lights had gone out and they were sound asleep. Flashlight in hand and two nets, I got two in one swoop.
I only have one Chromis left from. They were looking pretty old before they disappeared one by one in the last year. Added a Lawn Mower Blenny.
Tank is doing great. Fish are getting bigger and anemone are once again looking bountiful after removing many of them months back.
Questions:
The last video and the iTunes App were filmed with a Canon VIXIA HFS100 and edited with Apple's iMovie. Early videos were taken with my iPhone of the day. We recently got a new camera but haven't quite figured out how to use it yet.
The current bta's are all from one original rose and one original green anemones.
Really not too much as I wet skim straight to house sewage and top off with not full strength salt water. For top off/water changes, I just have to dump half a bag of salt into my top-off mixing container twice a week. (This container is auto-filled with RO water through a Kent float valve) Wet skimming also makes it weeks before I have to wipe down the skimmer neck. I do check the salinity every few days which is probably more often than most people.
I do run a magnet on the front glass everyday and clean the sides and back with a Kent scraper once a week (or whenever I can't stand it). My Tunze powerheads are woefully neglected. They'll probably make that high pitch "clean me now" screeching noise soon. The Eheim automatic feeder drops Spectrum Pellets twice a day and I drop a cube of frozen food in the feeder every day or two. (I target feed anemones with a turkey feeder if I want them to grow). To see feeding videos YouTube search Mobert and anemones eating.
That's pretty much it for upkeep and maintenance.
Ahhh, the elusive carpet/mag. I have been looking for a green gig or a purple based mag with green tips. I have seen lots but they were either iffy looking health wise or the wrong color. I want to put it on that island rock in the center of the tank where the Trumpet Coral is now located. During my saner moments, I'm glad I haven't found the right anemone. I imagine it would be difficult to keep it from touching the BTA's as it grows.
