Are you going to use a bilge sump for the sink drain? or you have a good downflow for a regular drain.
I have to use a pump.

I Built large Yacht for many years and i use them all the time it is no drain system on this big boats everything is running by pumps, you have a small sump where the water drains in to and the pump pumps it out when the sump switch is activated .Just like a reef tank sump with a level switch but the switch is on reverse when water gets in there the switch kicks the pump on and when the water is low it turns the pump off ,most of them they have some type of filter/screen to take care the big staff they work very good you just need to keep eye on them .Originally posted by bleedingthought
How does a sink sump work? How does it not overflow? And how much does it cost, guys?
I am planning on having one in my new tank room but was hoping to just plumb it to the back yard, somewhere.![]()
