$30,000 dollar angelfish!!!!

The craziest part to me is that it doesn't look like anything outrageous for a reef fish, color-wise.

Even if I had the money, I highly doubt I would want it.

True enthusiast know that this fish is the holy grail.
But its not for everyone.

I know I wouldn't. I don't even think it's a pretty fish. I'll take a Goldflake or Regal any day.

these are spectacular looking fish and need to be seen in person...but agree, they may not be for everyone...

Sorry, a person can be a "true enthusiast" and not equate difficulty of collection with level of desire for a certain fish.

I think maybe he should have said "rare fish enthusiast" instead. In that case, the Peppermint Angel is indeed very desirable, and is one of the holy grail of rare fish. Difficulty of collection, availability, etc. makes this fish a must have to the rare fish collectors on this board. I would take one in a hot second if I had that type of scratch readily available. To each their own though. I would rather a pair of Personatus Angels (also very rare and considered a "holy grail" type fish) :)

Ok, here's the $50,000 question. Which would you rather have(assuming you had the luxury to choose) a bonded pair of Personatus or a bonded pair of Peppermints???????!!!

For me, if they were juvi's, I'd take the pair of Personatus, otherwise peps ;)

If it were me, I would take one personatus over a single, pair or harem of peppermints. I would even throw in my two bandits just to get one of these.

Wayne, as I couldn't afford it even if it were available, I ask that if you ever get a chance to get one or a pair of the personatus, you jump on them and post daily pictures.

Bonded pair of Peppermints without question from the simple standpoint of everyone knows that's a 30k fish... Two of them! Plus they are striking and won't get huge like most other angels
