30g cube NANO LED BUILD !!!

Just got back from out of town being gone for 3 full days on a new tank with a new anemone with no ATO is kinda worrisome .

i added a bit of water knowing it would not run out and also left the vortech on pretty low flow which isnt the best for the tank but better than coming back to a bigger mess. It is a bit more deflated than when i left it but its late in the light cycle so i will update tomorrow.

lol, well what set up do you have now ??

I have my Oceanic RR 500 glln. A short history if you dont mind. When I first set it up I set to have a full reef but with 6 400watt MH, 1 HP chiller, vortech pumps and all the extras my electric bill went thru the roof. And we aint talking about how much it was costing me extra to stock it and maintain it. Ofcourse the wife didnt see my vision long term lol. So I decided to go FO.Got rid of some vortechs and MH But it looked to bare for my liking. So decided to install only 2 400w MH and add some soft corals. And that is what I have currently. More than welcome to come check it out any time.

that would be sweet, pm me your info, going to see peoples tanks will be part of what i will want to do if elected president. Ill explain later why when i have more ideas of what i can do to contribute to the club. Thanks.

Oh and i just ordered 8 YUMA ricordeas. decided to get these instead of 25 normal rics, all different looking, kinda expensive but i decided to try and see how much nicer these are than the regular rics.

i know off topic for this thread, but why not host a meeting. there is not a single person that wouldn't like to drool over a 500 gl tank..

I second that. I will be glad to host when i get more stuff in my tank but dang we would all love to see that tank !

Very, very nice Pedro!! :fun4: The rock sticking out of the water is genius!! I love it!! Glad you setup another tank "“ I thought when the other one was taken down you were out of the hobby!

Thank you sir, i was gonna wait and save to do a 60 or 93 cube, but im glad i went this rout for now. it has filled a big void in my life even though it was a few months.

I just ordered the ATO and went with the ELOS one. Also have some sweet yumas coming in tomorrow and i added a torch coral head. Also ordered a filter sock holder. So by next week ill have ordered most of the equipment i will need. still might add a reactor for carbon but ill decide that later. This tank will progress quickly i hope since im not into all that patience stuff. lol

double post for some reason. All 6 damsels doing great, pink rose anemone opened up better with more flow. gonna skim a bit wet and will update some pics soon.

Excellent thread. I am doing the same tank, but the reef-ready version. I was going to order the AI 12" unit, but the smaller unit looks to provide enough light coverage.

thanks, and yea I thought about it but this unit is perfect for this tank. and with my scape even better, the other one you can always ramp down or always keep and upgrade so those are the pluses. This one just fits perfect was easy to mount(once i cut some of the trim off) and also looks sleek. Im very happy with it. probably not good enough for a 24" foot, but 20" works well .

So kinda weird the anemone is not liking the leds turned all the way up. damn thing is only 35 watts what gives ? lol

I know there's pics already. But we haven't seen the yumas yet.
