375 gallon build thread

Looks like everything is finally comming 2gether! Still have that bag "O" cheato i gave ya? LOL

Absolutely, it's out in that Tub 'O Live Rock that Tom gave me. Speaking of rock, the rest of it will be here today. I just hope I got enough. I ordered 250lbs as I don't want too much in the display. I'd really like to keep the rock below the halfway mark in the tank...and since it's a peninsula I only have a little strip of area in the middle that can take rock. I wanted some leftover however for my refugium.

Wow, my 250lbs of MARCO ROCK KEY LARGO DRY ROCK just got here...

:thumbsup::lol2::dance::love2::fish2::inlove::bounce2::beer:

I didn't want to bore you all to death with a picture of EACH piece of rock...but the pics I'm posting are from ONE box...I got 5. There was 9 medium/large pieces in the first box.

Just kidding buddy. Don't get in a hurry and set up the tank w/o getting paint on all the scratches :rolleyes: . I still have'nt repainted mine and it looks aweful

The toys are still trickling in...today I got my other Tunze Wavebox but I apparently got it from some 'CLOWN'. It came without a pump! lol I'll be putting a Tunze 6201 in the Wavebox shell that I got from Chad (thanks again!) and running it as a slave off of my other Wavebox.

Also got my RODI unit today from Air Water & Ice. I only paid for the darn thing yesterday! I'd also like to point out that the unit I got is on SALE!!

I bought the CUBE unit with dual 100gpd membranes. (comes stock with dual 75gpd membranes but they'll upgrade them to 100gpd for no extra charge) I also had them run the wastewater line BACK through the unit to lower my waste from 4:1 to closer to 1:1. Living in FL made me re-think the RODI unit that I purchased based solely on the amount of waste water produced.

$250 to my door after TDS meter, shipping, state tax...got here in one day. Not bad!

That sure was a surprise to me when I first heard about the amount of waste water produced by these RODI filters. It seems sort of irresponsible when we are in a constant state of drought and potable water is always a precious resource.

do you have more info on that? I would like to do that to mine, I'm sure I could figure it out, but just to be sure, how did they do it?

I know people who run the waste water to a collection bucket (even outside) and then use it for watering plants or other non-drinking purposes.
