40 Breeder FTS Thread

I have the sundial fixture but I dont use their lights. I use the RKL Extreme moonlights, they give a much better look than the stock sundial led's.

"If I were in the market for a 40b I would consider a 50b. Same footprint as the 40 but a couple inches taller. "

theres a 65 breeder as well. which is 36x18x24

My fixture has LED moonlights, in fact it has 18 of them. Nine blue MLs and nine whitish yellow MLs. They are on two different timers so I can control how when the different colors come on. It's a cool effect- at first I thought it would be way overkill but know I really like the look.

yep looks like i am buying the genuine 40 breeder for $80. my other LFS got back to me and they want $400 for a 40 built with black silicone, polished edges, drilled and over flow. lol my roomate paid $450 for a 72"x24"16" im going in today to say *** as i paid $775 for my 60 gal already

My 40 in progress, needs lots of corals to catch up to some of these tanks on here

I had to build a new stand due to some structural concerns so that meant I also had to tear my whole tank down and rescape the darn thing. Here are some updated pics of mine. I really liked the old scape but there was just no way to recreate it. I like this scape ok but I may change it up a bit more. Pics are a little cloudy from the change over...

Ive got a question you guys. Ive got two Koralia powerheads in my 40br right now and I when I first got them they would blow the sand around so I pointed them up. What do you guys do so that the sand wont blow around?

What are the sizes on you Koralias? In my system I favored several small pumps VS a couple big ones to create a constantly shifting high volume movement of water yet it is very spread out and unfocused. What I have is 2 X K1s, 1 X K-nano, 1 X MP10, 2 X return lines. I have some fairly fine aragonite an while I see some slight shifting, it is def. not blowing around.

Sup guys,

I didn't get a chance to install the moonlight onto my t5 fixture so i just rest it on the lip of the CPR HOB. This moonlight is freakin bright. Its only 8'' long with 8 wide led bulb. I got it on ebay for 20 bucks and the herbal tea was good thanks for asking. :)
