40g Long Naturally sun-lit tank

The filefish do. Sargassum creatures are all over the Caribbean now with the mats washing ashore ... Here's my vid from Cancun last summer showing one

Thanks for the kind words!

I read in a local (Singapore's) forum that someone had success with peppermint on bigger aiptasia. The aiptasias have to be injured somehow and the peppermint would 'devour' them.

Not too sure if i want butterfly/filefish in a small tank with seahorse and mandarin fishes..hahahha.. should i take the risk or go with peppermint?

karimwassef: Yes i'm planning to prune and sell them but only to local market (Singapore), i think it will be quite complicated to send to Dallas legally?

Goodness. Such an inspiration everytime i look at your thread, cksss.

Im going to give this a shot since it's now extremely hot in south texas and see if it goes well. If it does, then im going to have to figure something out for next winter. But until then im going for it!

Thanks for posting such great pictures : )

Thanks for your encouragement deepercon :D

Hehe yes! grow some (sea)weed for the local community :)

High flow + direct sunlight supplemented with dosing of KNO3, Iron, Iodine and Magnesium works for me, please keep us posted on your progress too!

I love the close ups. The more detail you show, the more stunning when you put all the pieces in context of the bigger view.

Thanks guys :) I've been so busy with work recently and bothered by the rate the Aiptasia are multiplying that makes me too depress to take photo. And am still unable to get Peppermint or Berghia in LFS, i might be trying Joe juice next

I've added new stuffs, 'terminated' most of the visible Aiptasia with RedSea's Aiptasia-X. Waiting for the new macro to settle down a little more, will be posting new photos next week :)

New photos taken today 14-April, about a month from the last FTS update.
Not much have changed, except the Aiptasia, managed to exterminate most of the visible one with RedSea's Aiptasia-X. Also gotten alot more C.Prolifera, they've been growing well so far on the sandbed *keeping my fingers crossed*.

Gorgeous!

I'm going the peppermint shrimp route for my aiptasias. I found that when I killed them with chemicals, new ones always popped up to replace them.

Your tank is amazing, with beautiful, healthy plants and mind-blowing color!

New macros added :)

Orange Gracilaria parvispora (i think?), didnt look quite healthy with the white-tip, so it might be short-live

An unknown green macro gotten from the LFS, anyone has any idea what this might be?

And the FTS, the hitch-hiker slimy brown macro didnt make it :(

Another great color added with the orange grasilaria! Does the blue tang eat any of your plants? I'm finding the limits of what I can keep, with my atlantic blue tang.
