I don't know. Mine can be a bit of a bully sometimes to the other wrasses. No harm done, but he will push his weight around. I want to put in a pair of candy cane basslets but am afraid he won't like them. Too expensive to experiment!

I have a question about maintenance for this large of a tank. I'm considering upgrading my 100gallon sometime. If I were to go up to 500gallon, does the maintenance cost simple cost 5x more? (cost of chemicals, salt, water, electricity, food, etc combined). or would you say it's much cheaper. I have heard that larger volume = more stability.. which means less dosing and less WC. not sure if true.
I figured out the initial expense already. Just trying to get a grip on monthly costs.

Equipment can be expensive so as the livestock but you don't have to have high end everything. Not everyone have WAYNE's budget ( just kidding buddy) lol
Electricity is your biggest challenge with big tank. As far as cleaning it takes me 15 minutes to clean the tank every 3-4 days including water change if you plan it right.
I am super busy with my kids activities so i dont have a lot of time doing maintenance but i spend a lot of time enjoying my humble tank.

my friend have trio of Feminus , chaoti and other sensitive wrasse with his giant opercularis and I have few small tamarins and leopards without issue. i think it will be ok but no guarantee...

Aaron has a bonded pair of candies. He got them from MedRed who had them for like 3 years. They're super healthy and personable. They didn't hide at all when I was staring at them. They just stared back! I'm so tempted to get them myself but I want to wait a bit longer for my system to break in. If he still has them in a few weeks, I may break down and buy them!

Those are the ones I have my eye on!! The male is stunning and to have a pair would be awesome. They were out in the open a fair amount, but there aren't alot of fish in there with them. If you want dibs on them Wayne, just say so and I'll stop lusting after them!
