thanks Rik
thats the problem here, people like you think your never kill a single fish..
i know a lot more reefer that lost a lot more fish than me but they never talk about it because of people like you.
Seriously? Because I wrote please?
1) before you edited your post to this you wrote I was hating on you. I wasn't.
2) regarding your comment about how I think I've never killed a single fish please let me elaborate. There's a difference between killing fish and having a fish die while under my care. I do not consider myself an expert in the care of salt water tropical fish. Because of that I have spent a long time trying to learn about the care of tropical fish from the experts. And what I have learned is that if you follow some simple rules and try not to cross boundaries your chances for success are much better than if you don't. And these are the rules and boundaries that I have stuck with and surely enough my success has been pretty good. So to answer your comment, when following responsible animal husbandry, I
haven't killed a single fish. That's not to say that I haven't had fish die while under my care but the fish that I've had that died under my care have died by more natural means and not because of my irresponsibility, or my desire to continue adding and subtracting and disrupting a working balance because I'm never satisfied or because I have a need to look like some playa in the world of rare and expensive fish keeping as you repeatedly seem to do. It saddens me and I think others to continuously read your posts about unnecessary fish deaths of some hard to get and very expensive collectibles. These fish that are in short supply or are harder to collect deserve the very best in how they are kept. They are more then just things to impress others or look good in videos. You've acted irresponsibly on many occasions leading to either disease, death or both of these awesome collectibles. I think Dave's comment was a humorous attempt to advise you to not go that route again but to sit back, relax and enjoy your success. My horrible comment of "please" was nothing more than an agreement of his advice. Unfortunately it got your panties in a bunch and you seemed to have missed the point. You'd be better served to drop your martyr attitude and read the comments for its true intention because it's great advice and because your tank looks fantastic and the coral and fish selection you have is beautiful and it'd be a shame to see it change.
3) as for your comment on how there's reefers out there who have fish issues but don't post because of people like me, just yesterday I received a text from a reefer who we
both know asking me questions regarding stocking of a tank. My advice was to ask Dave because he'd be a much better authority then myself on this subject. I guess what I'm saying is that I guess my posts aren't scaring all.
Get your facts straight and Grow up Lawrence before attempting to flame me.
Good night and Happy Reefin'
