Looking fantastic sahin.
I assume it took you hours of scraping every mm of that tank, turning the sand and adding 6 lbs of carbon to make it sparkle no nicely.
But the corals are still out shining the cleanliness of the tank.
Your upgrade will be a great hint of beauty.
So you're running a radium and 2 b+?

Quick and crappy video bud????.....despite that:p i really enjoyed it:beer:
Regarding work hours, just hang in there. It will not be always like that:thumbsup:

Sahin, great looking tank buddy. The colors on your coral is amazing. Can't go wrong with that radium. Then you added best of other lighting types as well. :D

Nice Sahin, I can see a big halide pumping out some serious light, lol... Corals and everything looks great, nicely done buddy

Thanks Perry. I love the Radium light. Corals look great and growth has been crazy.

Nice attempt Sahin. I can see the saturated colours. Your metal halide light is seriously bright.

Thank you Bulent.

That looks really dang good:eek1:- some of those colonies have grown massive! What kind of color shifts have you seen since the miniature sun formed over the tank?

Thanks buddy. In terms of changes:

Light spread is amazing. Under the Radions a lot of the coral bases lost colour due to a lack of spread. However under the Radium/T5/LED combo, my purple nana which is a large colony regain a purple base due to a larger amount of indirect light. Red colouration especially has improved. Eg my Red Planet sort of shifted a purpleish-red under the Radions...once the halide went up the red tone I saw under T5 returned. Other corals have shown better pop as well.

Amazing growth and color Sahin! Everything's looking really nice. Thanks for the update
Thank you my friend. Your tank is amazing both in terms of corals and fish, and that is something I would like to replicate in my next tank.

Amazing Sahin!! The corals are beautiful! Congrats my friend!
Thanks. :) I love the rockscape in your tank. Maybe I can use a bit of your scaping idea. :D

That looks very nice, I can see all the great colors. Can't wait to see you build a bigger tank.
Thanks. I'm in planning stages for the next tank. Very much enjoying browsing equipment and stuff.

Amazing tank, corals look great !!!
Hey buddy. I miss your 120G tank. When will you be back keeping acropora? :p

Can't wait to see what you can do with a bigger tank [emoji106]
Hopefully it will look as nice as your tank.

Yup. I cant wait to have the larger tank setup and come home to sit in front of the tank and relax.

Looks great Sahin, the new light looks to be doing it's job!

Thanks buddy. Yes, I'm running B+. I feel its one of the best blue tubes out there for growth and colouration. My next tank will run on B+ tubes for sure.

Hey buddy. Hope you are well. Work is VERY busy. Hence the tank has been very very neglected over past few months. I got the promotion I worked so hard for...but that brought a lot more work along with a small but nice pay increase.

very nice considering how little you are doing for the tank.

Thank you for the video!

Thanks guys.

Well, my lighting speriment is over. Next tank shall be a combo of LED+T5. Overall, I feel that is the best lighting combo when all different factors are taken into consideration.

The most important thing I have come to realise is that water quality (in terms of filtration/stability of parameters/nutrients etc) is IMO something like 90% of the factor when it comes to acropora colours. I will admit that I did have an expectation that my corals would look significantly better under Radium. Whilst there was some improvements, ultimately I am no Biggles/Andrew. Andrew has a blue thumb. It isnt his Radiums (although they do help towards achieving amazing acropora colours). It's his bloody ability and skill in providing near perfect water for his corals and his sense of knowing what his coral need. Of course with sub par lights, his corals might not look as well, but I'd bet with any decent lighting, Andrew's corals will look better than my corals any day.

Hopefully with a larger tank, better filtration and decent lighting, I can achieve a little more success.

I dont have the time to post on all my friends tank threads, but I do take quick scans through your threads and smile when I see the colours of growth of your corals. Its great to see those lovely acro pics. :)

I hate reading my mates comparing themselves to me in a negative way Sahin, it's not true and to say you could never achieve the colors i have is rubbish. You are run down and too tired to give a full on acro display the attention it needs and so things slip. We all have been running on empty reefers so i feel for you mate. :(

I never thought there was anything unspectacular with your pigments when you ran T5/LED tbh. Have you ever gone back and had a look at some of your top downs from then........... :inlove:

One last thing - how close to the acros is that magnetic field generator gizmo when you fire it up. Do the house lights dim or metal things move about when you're doing the alk test. I just want to cover all bases.

Hi Sahin

Interesting that you're going back to a t5/led combination, any particular model?

I am forever undecided between my ATI Sirius X4 led unit and Pacific Sun 4x39watt t5/ 2x75watt led hybrid. I think the corals respond and grow equally under both lamps, as you say, water quality is paramount. For my eyes the edge is just with the ATI Sirius, for now..... I reckon pure led gives the tank more life with it's shimmer...., each to their own though.

I'm very happy with the layout, not only is aesthetically but also improves circulation and facilitates the tank maintenance. If you need some help tell me, I think I explained how I did the layout on my thread.

Great video and coral color. So you change to HQI!? I seem saw it from water reelection in your video. Sorry I did not catch your light system update lately.

Great video update Sahin! Things seem to be growing in very well, I would love an updated FTS or video of it if you find the time. I realize you've been busy so don't feel obligated. :)
