One is a herbie drain, the durso is the backup drain.

Update!

Custom sump has arrived. Turned out great. I love the black acrylic on the bottom back and sides....it's a real nice touch and it will match the skimmer well. Sump is from CustomReefCreations
Need to order 7" filter socks now...forgot that

Went with a 8x54w dimmable ATI Sunpower. Been a year almost and I love this light.

Building An Obsession

New sump from Building An Obsession has arrived and I'm in the middle of installing it. This was a good time to clean everything and do some pump maintenance. Will have to make a trip to Lowes for some PVC fittings tomorrow so I can fab up a manifold to feed my skimmer and UV.

This little guy has kept me distracted lately. Such a cool cat!

Some DIY led actinic action added.

8 royal Blue LEDs and 4 hyper violate on each 47" bar. Driven by two Meanwell dimmable drivers. These are Apex controlled, on and off and ramp up and down. The Meanwell has been set to 800mah max.



All glued down and soldered.

Thanks kutcha. The first sump was custom built from CustomReefCreations here in Oklahoma City. The white sump (current setup) was built by Building An Obsession. They built the dosing containers as well.

Little Regal



The Copper Band Butterfly. I have a small aptasia problem and I'm tired of using aptasia x. I've got a lot of lps and that stuff gets on them sometimes and irritates them.

Also, my sailfin is getting captured tomorrow (or so I hope). He's a bit aggressive and not as cool as the Chevron (or as expensive).

And these guys clean up the leftovers very well.

It's amazing. I'm really digging the lip on the bottom and eurobracing. Plus, I no longer have to remove plumbing to change filtersocks....YAY! Other than that it's a solid sump. Nothing crazy, really.

Ya know I couldn't tell you for sure. I may have gotten it from eBay or an electronic website. It's an outdoor electronics box. You could dump a 5g bucket on top and everything inside would be dry. I made a few small holes at the bottom to run cords out of.

The regal is doing fine at the moment. He's living inside and MP60....which I have unplugged the power cable to so I don't accidently turn it in and chop him up. He's eating so that good news.

The Chevron tang is grazing and I think I saw him nibble on some algae sheets, not sure.
