5 Gallon Water Bottles & 55 Gallon Drums

I case anyone needs these, I saw some at Big Lots for $7 yesterday. They have lids and a side handle.

I also have a source for new 55 gallon food grade drums. They are from a business that is changing their product line and is liquidating their stock. They only have about 10 or so left, but have smaller sizes too.

They are in Rocklin.

They are selling new ones for $20 and used ones (used for RODI water) are $10. Some have removable lids and others have 2 holes in the top, but could be cut open. They also have 15 & 30 gallon sizes.

These are a great deal.

Is there enough room on the "closed top" to get your hand in to screw the nut onto a float valve?

It's a pretty big hole..
I could not fit my hand in their but I'm pretty sure my wifes hand would and "will" fit

I got 3 open top drums. The holes in the closed top are too small for my hand , and my hands are small. (I'm not very good with measurements, but I'd say they're about 3 1/2 inches across.)They use the closed top ones with a straw and a hand pump. I don't think a power head would fit in one of the holes either. I thought about doing the straw thing, but I'm too lazy.

I could use one/two for taking pure water on trips to the boonies.

I just picked up 2 yesterday, closed top. Very nice. She still has a ton left it sounded like. It is a chemical production company that is closed down production. These are all new, unused.

I picked up two of the open top 55s as well. I'm very pleased with the quality of the drums. Not sure what the value of these are, but $20 is well worth it!

I live just a couple miles from the company, so if anyone really wants these, but can't make it out to Rocklin, I wouldn't mind bringing them to the next MARS meeting. PM me if you want me to do this for you.
