50 Cube SPS Zeo Reef

Mm.. Those hairless cats give me the creeps..
Our neighbors have 2 cats and 4 kids. One of the cats is extremely social.
He often comes over to drink from my toilet and have a nap on the couch.. And say high.
It's the perfect cat visit!

A yellow tang would clear that up. I had to get tiny one for my frag tank, only an inch or so across the body. Algae was gone in a few weeks and has not come back.

I'm not exactly fond of them either but the Bambino's have tiny little stubby legs :lolspin:
hahaha gotta love friendly neighborhood cats! Not sure about drinking from the toilet but the rest of it is nice lol

My neighbours cat sleeps on my car's bonnet and leaves paw marks.
My burmese is the same, except she likes to walk all over the windscreen as well and leave a trail of dusty paw prints!

I am glad that the cat is getting better. This is the first time ever that I have heard that it is possible to transport a cat in a car in this way. This is truly unique.
Me too and he is definitely very unique in a lot of the things he does haha it's the strangest experience having a cat that loves going on drives lol

Given the tank has to be moved in the next two months I'll be doing a fresh start :) So that I won't have to add any extra fish or anything to help out. I can suffer in silence for a little while longer lol

Well I have to say that all love from you guys is definitely going a long way :love2: lol I'm starting to feel like I might get somewhere with the tank now that Iggy is doing better. I managed to get another water change and clean done today and took some pictures as well. The other awesome thing is my lfs is got me a tiny rabbitfish to help with my algae issues which is just fantastic, Dave certainly goes out of his way to help! Hopefully the little guy helps before looking at corals haha

Well on to some pics lol I'll start with the bad, things still aren't great and the caulerpa is still pretty wild with some acro's not doing great but this is the worst of it:

As you can see some pretty badly burnt tips but nothing really has flesh peeling off it and some of the other acro's tissue is looking a bit thin as well. I'm hoping with a little more love things will start coming back soon!

I suppose I'll get into trouble first and start of with the zoa's

I do really have a soft spot for them but I mean how can you now :D acro pics coming in the next post lol

Well this piece is finally blue-ing up again, pity about the dull polyps lol

Firetruck still Firetrucking but needs some colour fine tuning

Blues are going strong, I do like this little tenuis :)

Nearly impossible to get the colours on this one right but the white skin gets a purple-blue hue to it and it's awesome, either way it's only these few tips that have coloured back up

This little beauty is going to be an absolute gem! I love it :D

Dom, don't you have a bristle toothed tang? They don't eat macro algea really..
Get yourself a real tang or a rabbitfish.. Then remove him after he's done. Give him away if you don't want a big tang in your tank... It will be well worth the expense..

Also, I don't know what kind of spy satellite camera you have but your shots alway blow me away with their crispness and vibrancy.

We will NOT accept your resignation so don't even consider it again!!!

This...

Rabbitfish swim alot less than Tangs and are regular chow hounds when it comes to nuisance algea.

Seriously consider pulling the Kole tang and replacing it with a foxface or a rabbitfish of some sort.

Are you mad son?? :hammer: lol I couldn't get rid of the kole, he's such a lovely fish and pretty much one of two tangs I actually like lol

Read the post though ;) lol lfs has a little tiny rabbitfish ready and waiting lol

Dom,
Love the photo, I can see cat hair on your shirt, lol, sign of a true animal lover, I love cats too ours stays outside though:) He has his own porch, so his name is porch cat, and he has a 70lb puppy to protect his home from strays, lol... I love the beard, a perfect place for your cat to nestle his paws in, cheers buddy, glad to see you on the mend with your tank mate!

That red tipped one with the white skin with the blue green hue....hot damn!!!
It's so much better when the whole coral plays ball lol but it's one of the ones I was very surprised by!

Let us how it goes with the Rabbitfish.
Will do :) He'll be getting reported on very closely lol

haha the shirt isn't the only place there's cat hair  and you're right about the beard, he loves sticking his head under it :rolleyes: Nothing wrong with a porch cat lol sounds like a happy cat :)

It was a little unusual tonight but for the first time in several months I actually had the chance to just sit still right in front of the tank and just watch it for half an hour. Not worry about anything and just sit there. It's made me realise just how much I actually miss the fish and the tank. It was quite profound and so was the calming effect it had on me :) Having a tank really is something to treasure.

In other news. the Possum Wrasse is getting much bolder and more outgoing with the confidence of the CBB at the heart of that which is nice :) I really love that little guy and seeing him swimming around the tank with the Kole that's 10x his size is very amusing lol. The other good news is when I feed the tank and the CBB was up the front he showed a very direct interest in the pellets :D Even went as far as sampling! Way too big for him but it's a very very god sign! Hopefully if I get some smaller pellets I'll be able to coax him a little easier! :) Enough from me though! Hope everyone is enjoying their morning/evening

Hey Dom, try some mysis or brine shrimp for your CBB. Just once a day or the CBB will get lazy and stop patrolling for Aiptasia

I feed frozen maybe once a week because I'm not there often enough and I don't think I trust my brother to do it properly haha I know it wouldn't take much to get him onto it though :) The lucky thing is he never had any aptasia to start with ;) Touch wood it's the one pest I've never had! I just got the little guy because I adore CBB's! lol
