Subscribed, this is an amazing setup. What are you planning for internal flow, or will it all be managed by your returns? (I apologize if I missed it earlier in the thread)

Tks, it has a coast to coast internal overflow that handled every bit of the 7500 gph I put through it when it was tested with plenty of room to spare so when the other pump is hooked up after I shut down my other tank the flow should be incredible for just a fish only setup..... there are 8 returns 4 across the front and 2 on each side the two at one end are at the higher middle and the two at the other end are at the lower middle ......if more is needed I may supplement it with some vortechs or tunzies.....another week or so until I feel comfortable putting in the fish from my old setup and we shall see....

Guess I have to stop complaining about the price I pay for corals here in Sweden ;-) we don't need RO/DI units.
Your 280 really looks like it's a caranteene tank with "all" the fish. Nice build!

I had one running with dual RO membranes.....I won this one from one of the raffels at our club meetings.....it was newer so I am going to combine this one with one of the RO membranes that I already have and the booster pump I already have along with one of the dual TDS meters I already have .....I will be selling one of my old ones.....

I have not been in Sunny Florida :-( just cold January sales kickoff in Boston, Providence and CA (CA where nice worm thoug) and from that I completely understand why most reefers in US use massive RO/DI units.
In many cases out tab warter is cleaner that the one you get botteled, only thing I complain about is high CA and then a little NO2 but normal under 20 so it's hardly worht the trouble to RO/DI.
