I just read the entire thread. Go big or go home huh!!! Thanks for sharing some ideas and suggestion today. I wish you luck on your huge build. I will definitely need more tips
:headwally::headwally::headwally: I am having my tank fully inspected Friday as I still have some sort of noticeable hazing:angryfire::angryfire::angryfire: The guy will do a section and tell me if it can be saved. If so, then he will be taking the tank with him to his place and work on it at his convenience. He said it might take up to 2 months to finish.:beer::beer: If not then a new tank will be in the works. So an update will be posted this weekend.
What do you mean hazing?
Wow...what a difference, ROOKIE!The top half is done of the 4 foot side. It looks as if it is almost complete. Makes my work look like a rookie.

what's he doing different, than you did?
I wish I found this thread sooner. If you went to a local bodyshop, they could have directed you in the right direction. I did my 125. started out with 1000g to 2000g then 3000g wet, used 3M perfect-it compound and used a regular buffer used in buffing paint. Comes out perfect. We do it on hazed headlights all the time.
