Also I am wondering how I will do my refugium and whether to grow different macros or just use Chaeto. I read that Chaeto grows better if it was spinning and I didnt know how to make that happen so I made a mock up in my sump refugium and here is a video of the Chaeto spinning.

Thanks everyone for your patience.
Come on Leroy... It is not that hard... You are doing a good job btw...
We need to finish that conversation...
Maybe I need to draw it out better and post it in my thread??
Or am I over simplifying/thinking it?

Over thinking????

Corey
Well so far here is the deal.y present tank is 225 with a sump/refugium that is adding about another 20-25 gallons of water.
Presently I have 2 large hard corals(one is a Monticello cap![]()
And a poccillapora colony.
![]()
The rest are basically 1-2" frags and plenty of LPS. Since I'm dosing as if its an SPS tank daily the recommendation is 2 mls per 25 gallons of water or 20 mls. Well for some forsaken reason my phosphates jumped up so now I'm dosing 30 mls a day. Last week they were .51ppm and yesterday they measured .44 ppm. Nitrates are around 1-2 ppm. I had to in erase feeding so phosphates will decrease because they were higher than that. But at the same time I'm thinking I'm getting a false reading because the vials are kind of cloudy.
I am trying to track the source of the phosphates and eradicate them as much as possible. I don't know anywhere else to check. Any ideas?
Oh yea, I also will be starting the tank with the reef saver rock. Anyone hear any good or bad things about it?
Leroy.
