lol turns out there is one down the road from my house, i never thought about checking there thanks!

LOL, np glad I could help...

your pics look great, thanks for the comparison shots. I guess what I was referring to with the bin cracking is the point loading of the weight caused by the pvc. Maybe you have more surface area directly on the piping than it looks.

The pictures with all the lighting looks real nice. Have you played with the Whit Balance on your camera at all?

You'll love the atmosphere controller, that is some thing I would like to get down the road as well.

As for water loss, since I have to do mine manually for now. My top off bucket (6 gal) has to be filled about every other day right now, in the summer time it has to be filled every day.

No I haven't played with the WB on my camera yet, I just used "auto"... I will play around with it to try to get some more "accurate" colors..

Well I got a few more things completed today...

I got the fuge light hung for the macro...

I also moved 185.6lbs of cured LR from the cooking bin over into the 150gal fuge tub...

I would weight each bucket full of rocks on a shipping scale then take it over and place the rocks into the fuge, once the rocks were removed I would weight the bucket with left over water in it again so that I could substact that from the total at the end... I still have some LR left in one cooking bin and then a whole nother bin full... The second bin will not be added until later as it still needs to cook... While going through the first bin if I saw anything questionable on a piece I just left it in the bin for further cooking...

Thanks for the lighting shots. That is a great combination. Also I agree with your rock philosophy. Nothing goes in without extreme QT.

@#)*($&@#)*($&@#*$&

Well my RD (red dragon) pump on my BK400ext stopped working... I opened it up to make sure nothing was stuck and everything looked fine... When the unit is plugged in nothing happens... I had to send it off to Scott at captiveoceans so hopfully I will have it back the middle of next wk... I guess it's better to die now rather then later... I just hope that this is the only/last issue with the pump...

bummer, but at least it's still under warranty. do the red dragon pumps have a lifetime warranty?

Yes, I am pretty sure they have a lifetime warranty, so other then paying for shipping, everything else is covered... So that is nice... Just hate the down time, Hopefully it does not take long...

yeah hopefully they will get that right back to you

oh btw i was researching base rock, captain jer indicated because of the hurricanes there will be no base rock available until sometime next year

and hirocks is out of business :(

Man, that sucks... I wanted to get a few more select pieces to put some finishing touches on my tank :(

On the RD pumps.... there is a lifetime warranty on the bearings and a 2 year warranty on everything else. I agree, better that your pump failed and you are getting a replacement now rather than later when the tank is fully stocked.

Shawn - Good luck with that...

I've been putting the finishing touches on my tanks ever since I've been in the hobby.
