Shawn....that looks remarkably like a large tank.

Whens it coming to your house?

LOL, yea, it's a little roomy as I got down in side of it to take some pics as I didnââ"šÂ¬Ã¢"žÂ¢t want to take all of the packaging off because it still has one more move to make... I did cut pieces here and there out and looked everything over from the inside and it's awesome, Will did an awesome job, I can't wait until tomorrow to get it into the basement on the stand...

When you weight 400 pounds; Your pretty damn fat!....When you weight a 1/3 bigger, you are a sluggish health care crisis!

You've got a big *** tank! It makes mine look like a 20 gallon breeder!:D

You will definetely need some big showcase corals. My big corals are no longer big. Unfortunately, I lost a basketball sized Acro colony when I moved from Columbus to York last year. Luckily, I have a small frag that can start all over again. Next time I make it to "the bus", I'll bring you one. It will grow out BIG; quick and fast. 600 gallons big. Can't wait to see some of your progress. Are you done with the angled iron lighting rack? You have a big plumbing job ahead of you!

You've not even got this one set up yet!

LOL, like I said some time down the road, like 8 to 10yrs atleast... I am hoping to have this one up and running (minus live stock) with in like 3 to 4wks or less...

ROFL, since you put it that way, a 1/3 bigger does seem a little bigger ;) I don't know about yours looking like a breeder, but it's looking good so far :)

Scott at Extreme Corals has been holding on to a few pieces for me, I have two bigger Acan colonies along with an awesome Micromussa, as well as a few other things... I am not going to get any show pieces unless I just fall in love and can't live with out it, for my corals it's the same as my fish, I like to get them small and watch them grow...

I am sorry to hear about your Acro colony...

Since I have the tank and skimmer now things should move along a little faster, but I want to do it right the first time and if I need more time, then I will not rush it...

I have not worked on the light rack yet, I am hoping to get to that next week...

The plumbing should not be too bad since I only have one 2" drain on the back of the tank and two 3/4" return lines to plumb... Most of the things in the fish room with be gravity fed so the tank will drain into the skimmer and ref and from the ref into a frag tank or two that will drain into the sump that will get returned to the display...

LOL :)

Looks like a very nice job on the tank build. From what I see nearly flawless seams. *hard to tell from photos as you know*
And that overflow looks like a piece of Art.

Is that back wall and overflow smoked glass? Or just the way the light was hitting it.

Either way it looks like one H*LL of a Christmas present.

:beachbum:

Pro movers are going to bring it and take it to the basement... They are going to have to turn the tank on its side...

Be sure to take lots of pics of them moving the tank in. I am interested to see what types of rigs they use to move the beast. Any idea on what the weight of the tank alone is?

I will be using my cousinââ"šÂ¬Ã¢"žÂ¢s camcorder :) I will also be trying to take pics... I know with the pallet, tank, skimmer, and all packing materials it was like 1350lbs... So I am guessing around 1-1100 lbs for the tank...
