Other then looking into other moving companies, I am also going to look into maybe setting this tank up on the first floor... I have a place it would fit... I need to look into reinforcement, it will not be easy with the finished basement, but maybe getting that done and the tank on the first story will be ALOT cheaper then getting it down the stairs... Also I am only 25 and I am not planning on this being my final house... Not planning on moving for 8-10yrs or so, but I would like to take the tank with me when I move, even if I do go with a bigger tank in the new house... So if it's going to cost me 1k to get it down, it will prob cost me 2k in 10yrs to get it up I can tell you now though, if it does make it into the basement and it would cost 2k to bring it up, it will be staying LOLââ"šÂ¬Ã‚¦
Shawn I'm doing my tank on the first floor, but this was the plan from day one when I designed and builded the house. One think to remember is this tank is going to waight 6000 to 10000lbs with sumps and everything related to it, so heayduty reinforcement is a must. When I builded my house I had 12"concrete basement walls poured, two 18" steel I beams under the tank that are supported with 5x5x3/4" steel tubes with special footings under them poured and I did put every 8" TGI joists under the tank. I'm not saying you can't put the tank on the first floor, but it maybe the same or even more to suport the floor then what it is to move the tank to the basement. Also what are you doing being married at 25? (that is from someone who is with the same woman for 15 years since I was 19)
