6100 dead, transformer hot

Hi my 6100.10 has a 7240.27 and a 7410.602 transformer. When I put the power on, the 7240 and 7410 both put out lots of heat, and the 6100 doesn't do anything. also no alarms sound.

The 6100 has no jam and everything turns freely, so it's not an overload from that. I am in New Zealand, so if you could advise on what parts I will need to replace and where to get them it will be appreciated.

(Unit manufacture date is 2006, so I doubt there is any warranty.)

thanks

Lasher, i think your transformer is toasted. If you have another 6100 in your system, try to swap out the transformer and see if that is the case. If problem still the same, try to swap out the driver (silver or blue box). By doing that, it will helps narrow down to which component gone bad and just replace it.

If the transformer burns out the usual cause is the driver. Transformers almost never fail without being overloaded and the most common culprit would be the driver has failed.

I hate to hijack this thread, but it goes along with what I had happen.

I had a driver go bad (I guess) and made the transformer swell and get SUPER hot.

So.. what do I do? Is there no replacement for the driver? What route do i go about getting this thing fixed.

Thanks!

If it is less than 2 years old and the driver didn't get wet it would be covered under warranty, that would be another route. If so you would just send it in for repair. We would need the complete pump.
