growth and color should be much better. t5 looks more viewer friendly in my opinion on most tanks. everyone seems to have the best results when mixing two types of lighting..i know that would be ridiculously difficult in your tank, but just food for thought..:spin2:

Yea i have thought about adding a reefbright, however so far im very happy with the lights. My only complaint is not having moonlights

Hey guys quick question. Right now im running the lights on a regular timer, but all lights come on and off at the same time. Is there and issue with that?. Also is there a timer that lets me control both independent so i can mimic a sun up sunset type thinglike leds.?

Wow, I missed the lighting upgrade, great news! It should have 3 plugs, two AC plugs for 2 and 4 bulbs, and a 9v plug dealio for the fans.
BigE runs an even mixture of coral+ and blue+ for 8 hours all on and off and gets great results.

Hey Mark.. what!! Cant believe you missed it.. your fired!!!!. Na j.k. yea sorry it has 3 your correct last one for the fan. I was just curious as if I could just have them all turn on at once and off, or if i should run a dusk dawn effects. As far as bulbs, im running the following front to back

I had to go with KZ superblues instead of Blue + because brs was out of the 24" bulbs , so i went with Marine dep and the did not have the 24" fixture lol lucky me. So went back to brs and got the kz instead . However im thinking of replacing the aquabs for a blue +, the abs makes tank look linda white imo. But i dont know if this will affect growth in a bad way.

That's a really nice lighting upgrade, I'm sure you can see the areas that were shadowed before a lot more clearly now! Turning them all on or off at once isn't a problem, BigE does that and runs all bulbs 8 hours a day. Having the 2 dawn and dusk bulbs on for an extra few hours on either end is just to extend viewing hours, and doesn't really affect the corals. How high off the water do you have it set?

Right now its at 8" off the water. Im running it for 7hrs from 3pm to 10pm so it the coldest time of the day in my house. I got the ac at 75f all day and 73f at 5pm, then 71f at 8. Keeps my tank temp steady at 77f all day. As far as bulbs i tried both brs and MD, but like i said MD did not have any fixtures and brs did. However brs had no B+ bulbs and MD did lol. So i went with the KZ. Guess those 24 are in high demand . I needed the bulbs and fixture asap since i sold my leds the same day i posted them, and shipped them the next day. I MD waa gonna charge me 80 bucks for overnight on the bulbs plus another 80ish from brs on fixture lol.. So i did brs and only paid shipping once
. Have to tell you, i should have done it sooner. Corals look wayyyyy better than they did with leds. Maybe one day as good as you guys on the AF team .

Thanks man. Yea I have to say tank looks great. Things are coloring up and growing very good. Im only having trouble coloring up 2 new pieces(ASD Blossom and unkown) besides that everything looks spectacularI believe you are one of the guys on the AF team now Jorge

Hope your feeling better man. Yes best decision I have made in this tank. I don't know why I didn't do It sooner. t5 all the ways now unless its a frag tank

Sorry bud, being getting home the last week after lights out. Been working OT like a madman this week, so I haven't seen the tank on all week. I get home at 6 normally, and my photoperiod is from 3 to 10 pm. BUT I promise you I will take some. Might not be Perry or Matt worthy but ill try lol.

Sorry about the ugly white aquamend. I had to kill some of that rainbow monti that grows like a weed.
