67g Rimless Miracles Build

@adw
The aluminum frame has two holes drilled 10" from the end of the frame. For additional support, I put a short steel bar inside the bottom of the frame and put three holes in that. Two of those holes line up with the holes on the aluminum frame and third hole is screwed to the stand.

@sahin
I'm working on getting more pictures online,. I just need to fix the white balance of some pictures on Light room 4. I'm still learning how to use it. :)

Shoot in RAW mode and when you open the file, it will give you a ton of options to adjust the white balance and everything else.

When I take pics under my EcoTech Radions, I shoot with the lights preset @ 12K because when I take pics @ 20K the pics still look blue when I adjust the white balance all the way in Lightroom.

Thanks for the tip Xenon. I shoot in .NEF format which is Nikon's RAW file and sometimes the color is too washed out, but after several shots of the same coral it comes out a bit more accurate.

Well it's time for an update after several months. :-)

The Mitras has not let me down and I am glad to report that this light will most likely be carried over to my next tank upgrade in a few years. This tank is just too small as I am starting to run out of space. My next tank will have to be at least double what I have now.

Here are some pictures that were taken a week ago:

08/13-A much needed update

08/13-A much needed update

Well, the tank has changed since the last wave of pictures. Since that time, I've lost some fish either due to ich or getting stuck on my tunze streams. :headwally: Rotten luck with fish I suppose.

Anyways, I'm holding off for a borbonius and another unique fish. The acros have been doing well for the most part. I noticed some red bugs a couple months ago and was hesitant to dose interceptor because I wanted to spare my fire shrimp, but I did what had to be done and dealt with the red bugs. Last week, I dosed 1/3 of interceptor spectrum, waited 12 hours before doing a 15g water change, and replaced the carbon.

24 hours after the initial dose, I could not find one red bug. I wanted to be sure I got them all so I went for round 2 today.

For the past 3 months, I've been using Fauna Marin's Reef Vitality in conjunction with the color elements set and am very pleased with the results. The Acros have shown better polyp extension as well as better coloration. I'd say my Monti cap has shown the most notable growth, followed by my Suharsoni.

Thanks Krazy_Karl, I call Mr.Packman's Brother acro, since it looks very similar. To me, it looks like a Cardiuus.
It's due for a trim since it's growing very close to my hawkins acro. :) Send me a PM if you're really interested.

Here's a top-down of that acro and more:
