Too many people get caught up on the WPG rule, they focus more on the intensity of the lighting instead of the water quality. If your water is not clear it doesn't matter how bright your lighting is.
You also do have some really nice reflectors ... use all that light you generate. Probably less nice spread + intensity if you didn't use LA's.

Not to say I don't agree 110% that folks focus on light more than water quality ... just that folks often focus more on bulb than reflector, too.

Ill post some behind the scenes pics this afternoon.

I must warn you that it is pretty basic. Nothing fancy about the fish room. I like to keep it nice and simple, the more complicated it is the more problems you run into down the road.

MiddletonMark: I understand what your saying. I see it all the time, people going crazy over PAR and spectrum when what really counts is the reflectors.

jay24k: Thank You :D

clkwrk- Thank you :D

Very nice Sunny!

Looking forward to the complete system shots. :D

I have this same coral, it was sold to me as a Blue Stag. I don't think that's accurate but what do I know.;)

I think it is an Acropora nobilis.

Dear Sunny,

The corals look beautiful! It looks as though they made the trip without too much color loss (which is always a relief to me). Please let me know how they continue to do and I will help if I can. I don't think you will ever need any as it is obvious that you know exactly what you are doing. You are right about the A. austera (Yel Tort) it has grown quite a bit since the photo was taken. We placed this coral on the site months ago and for some reason it was forgotten, until now :) . I love Yellow Torts, they are bulletproof and hold their color perfectly under pretty much any spectrum. I think alot of reefers pass them over as yellow is too close to the dreaded "Green". But I love them, they contrast so well with blues and purple.

You sure take some gorgeous photos. I love closeups, especially that one of your rose milly.

Well I hope your system continues to do well, have a wonderful weekend,

Chris @ RM

Thank you very much Chris.

You have amazing service and corals. The packaging the corals came in could have fallen out of the plane and still been ok.

And the free "frags", WOW. I wasn't expecting them to be that big!!!
They look more like mini colonies, each of them being over 3".

The yellow tort is simply on of the most amazing corals I have ever seen. The color is intense and the coral is very healthy. When I opened the box I seen a HUGE bag and thought to myself "I didn't order anything this big". It was a pleasant surprise, and I am very happy with the whole experience. ALL the coral had Polyp Extension while still in the bags!!!

From the rapid Email responses, the great packaging, and the healthy corals, I am forever a RM customer.

For anyone looking to order corals, look no further than ReeferMadness.us .............Simply Outstanding.

Excellent tank SunnyX - you have obviously mastered the care of sps. Look forward to growth pics in the future.

Blue slimer is growing and starting to color up very nicely, Yellow Tort is now more yellow.

All frags I received have also been doing very well.

Seriously TOTM material, very nice tank dude!

So you do not run any ozone?

Besides running carbon and skimming what else do you think helps yuo maintain good water calarity and ORP level?

No OZONE or UV here.

I run carbon passively in the sump along with bi-weekly water changes of 40gl using Reef Crystals.

I promise to take some pics this weekend guys, sorry about the delay.

poknsnok, ill post some Equip shots, although I must warn you that my equipment and plumbing setup is very simple.
