75g sps build thread

Its an American DJ power strip, you can get them on EBay. I got mine from another local reefer. So far this morning the tank is holding water no problem.

OK everyone wish me luck. I will be doing the tank swap this weekend. I will be sure to take lots of pictures of the process.

Update. The swap has started. I have the 40B partly taken down and is running with enough water to things going.

Tomorrow I will be taking the 40B all the way down and moving in the 75G!

Ok now for so pics. My fiance was kind enough to take camera duty while I did the tank swap. Got it all swapped over and the wiring cleaned up. No leaks and the return plumbing lined up pretty well.

Crappy camera and it did not have the time to set the balance so I put it on auto. Other are browned for inknown reasons something I have been having issues with for a while. But most of my sps have good color and growth.

I'm really liking the aquascape- as well as the cleanliness of the new sump setup. Great job! and ..... just out of curiousity, what exactly are you running from or for?? ( the tattoo on your arm)

SUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUWWWWWWWWWWWWEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEETTTTTTTTTTTTT!

Bet that feels good! Looks like your wifey has the same picture taking technique as mine! It involves a very difficult manuver where they take the photo at just the wrong time with just the wrong lighting and just the wrong focus to make it come out incredibly unrealistic and crappy. Gotta give it up to them for such incredible attention to detail and mastery of crap!

Hope things go smoothly from here on out and maybe your brown out conditions are over now!

Oh and patch those holes in the wall would ya

Thanks for the comments. As for the tattoo run is a one way to translate it, I wanted Race It but there was no exact translation for that in Japanese. Im into Hondas and Japanese sport compact cars, my other hobby.

Thanks chrishayes. Yeah these are the better of the pics she took to, its the thought that counts. Yeah the wall will be getting fixed in the next few days. More detailed pics taken by me coming soon.
That il do Donkey that il do. LOL

Yeah using RSCP since running out of H2Ocean. I will be going back to IO or normal Red Sea when this bucket is out. I cant justify the higher cost for salt that does nothing special plus I dose so I dont need a salt with way high ca and alk.

excellent bro... great job, well thought out and executed... love the lighting rig... love the short overflow... everything looks really good and cleanly done...

 if i was there, we would be tippin elbows to a job well done lol

Thank you very much :wavehand:. I was pleased with the aquascaping myself and I am picky on that, dont like it to look like an unnatural wall. Yeah I like the way the light rack came out as well. Overall an improvement over the 40B, better plumbing, cleaner sump, cleaner wiring and of coarse larger! I still have a lot of frags to place and may move a few corals around for more growing room and viewing pleasure. I am thinking of fragging up some of the larger colonies.

Oh and I am strating to question the bulb I have been using. I have my Oddysea 20k next to an old Coralife 20k and the Coralife is bluer and brighter than the Oddysea. I was told the Coralife was a few months old and I replaced my Oddysea in June. Might go back to Phoenix 14ks or try out XM 20ks if I can find them for less that $80.
