82-85.2 degrees & a Max

Will higher temps such as a tank running 82 to 86 cause a Max to gape a bit?

The clam has a good light response but when retracted it appears the shell is open slightly more than a week ago and does not close on light reaction.

Appears the intake is widely open front to back but no longer side to side.

It's a 3.5" max on the sand 24" down under 250 MH.

Params are stable and good. Tank has DT's dosed weekly and in the food mix given to corals and fish daily.

No coughing noticed yet.

Anyone think this is due to temps?

My tank does not hit 86 but it does have a 4 degree swing (80 to 84) and my Maximas don't gape.

Don't think it helps but it will keep the thread at the top for a bit ;)

my tank usually has a few degree temp swing from 79 to 81 but my maximas never seem to gape. my croceas sometimes do but only the first few days they are in the tank.
