8550 RO Station Problem

Hi !

Just bought a RO Station and I seem to be having problems.

The issue is that I have been operating severall RO units and had no trouble with pressure so far.

On this unit the more pressure of water the largest amount it drops of the waste water. It almost seems that there is some issue with the unit.

Besides that , the pressure indicator simply does not show any relevant pressure.

Can someone help me ?

Thanks !

Yes, I would assume the flow restrictor is in the wrong tube. What country are you in? The black waste water tube should have a capillary installed inside. You will need to remove the tube and check it. It likely is inside the blue line instead or is missing.

WOW. Thanks ! That was the issue. The capilary was installed on the blue line.

Strange.....

What country are you in? I would like to know because we build these here in the US and we make separate batches for US and Europe and I would like to know which batch may be affected. The capillaries and hose fittings are different for each region so they are made in separate runs.

I am in Portugal but I ordered from Germany. I think it also important for you to know that when I opened the box the blue hose was conected to the waste and the black on the other exit. Basically there were two issues: incorrect colors for the exits and incorrect capilary attachment.

Thanks !

I am very sorry for the problem, I let the headquarters in Germany know about the problem. I suspect it is limited to a few units. We build most of them for export to Germany and they are hand assembled by 2 guys here and I think the one guy was tired, has less experience, and the ones he completed, he reversed the hoses on.
