$999.99

Always curious at the cries of Photoshop here. His rating is really good on EBay. And he has a lot of ratings. Honestly if he photoshops as much as accused here, I'd expect a lower rating.

What are you curious about? It clearly has been adjusted to make the colors brighter.

I'm not saying the coral is brown. Just that under normal lighting it doesn't look like that.

Wow.....continuous proof that price gouging, lies, polyp pimping and photoshopping still exist for gain. And the funniest thing is that it is a quarter of a frag plug chopped and glued to another, photoshopped to enhance the color as everything behind the polyp is blue/purple( dead give away) , will most likely die and the most misleading title of them all......it's a "New Release" , from where? And there goes your $999.00 polyp that was only worth $2.00

Just do a search on these two threads in this forum. "Zoas prices" and "pimpin ain't easy" and keep your money.

Mucho

Yup. That's funny I didn't notice the cut up frag plug.

Correction....if it's not photoshopped, it was photographed under total 20k with super blue actinics. But I'd say photoshopped for sure.

Mooch

There's a reason why new reef keepers such as yourself have that opinion and it's why you're this predatory vendor's main targets. It's the same reason that experienced people are calling out bs in this thread: you haven't seen enough pictures yet. Once you get to that point it's like looking at the color green and having inexperienced people tell you it's blue... in a year or two you'll be telling people the same thing you're hearing, but in the meantime you can take our word on it or learn after you burn a lot of money on scammy vendors. We were all there once haha

At the end of the day an enhanced picture is an enhanced picture. No amount of good feedback or sales will change that because there's a sucker born every minute and apparently all of them left him good feedback.

I could get good feedback ratings on anything I wanted for sale online as long as I started with something for almost nothing and asked a starting price of $1k in 5 minutes with the right persuasion and reputation.....or just persuasion...

Not saying cornbread persuades- I mean in general

Everything from cornbread I have seen is absolutely beatufull- but what I am saying is corals change in different systems, lighting, conditions, ect.....especially polyps...

May not look the same immediately, or may not look the same long term- unless you can replicate conditions at cornbreads spot and have the same....if lucky.

But then he would have to share that information.....

Do high end coral sellers normally include water parameters, salt used, how long propagated, lighting type, camera settings, how long have they heald this morph/color, where collected and conditions, ect to ensure a coral is placed correctly in the correct system to keep its look/health?

No 2 systems are the same....are these high end seller willing to share these trade secrets? Ive never bothered to ask...

If it was bid to $1k, more power to him. Starting a single polyp at $1k is insane.

I just checked out his site and ebay store, he does have some nice corals, but most corals when established color up and look nice. I have never seen an SPS stay brown under proper lighting and with good water parameters.

Had to take a look:

YO DJ SKITTY'S IN THE HOUSE!
Hahaha

*** kind of name is that? FHRITP.... Pretty sure I know what it stands for and not gonna say it here. Don't think the mods would appreciate it.

They look very similar, but much more exagerated, to these-

In the correct conditions and with the proper lighting intensity/spectrum, I can see a very real resemblance.....But I paid $5 for this entire frag....

This pic was taken under a very old outdated 20k MH bulb...

Just wait 2 years it will be $9.99 a polyp.

I don't see that happening but yes it will be alot cheaper.

If it lives that is (Or grows).

Remember that Krakatoa that sold for $2,500 on eBay.

I heard it Died (If that is True - Ouch).

Just be patient.

I am.

Maybe he has fake ratings?

I heard he got kicked off facebook for bidding on his own auctions.
