A few months ago I cracked my 20l so i upgraded to a 29 with hawaii black sand.

I know the fts came out like crap, I will try to get another tomorrow

I really like the blue lighting, but i know the sps needs some white light to grow, which brings me to a cross road. Im debating on selling ALL the acros and sps, and going purely LPS, cover the top of hte "mountain" with torches.


Any ideas or suggestions?

i think your plan is pretty solid. it would look pretty cool with the mountain covered in torches,

Yeah Ive seen a few tanks with torches done up like that,pretty cool effect.

Thanks guys, sorry didnt get any pics at lunch. I LOVE the black sand, seriously with a blue background looks intense, only regret is that I didnt do it sooner. Def helps the acans pop alot more.

Also I think my mind is mostly made up, all my sps is going to be sold and this is going to be a LPS and zoa tank, (plus my rics, i love the colors)

Simple fact is the sps isnt thriving like it should, and from what I seen if u want sps to rock u need lot of white light, not my cup of tea.
