I did that with the ocellaris. I let them get comfortable spawning on the rock for 3 or 4 spawns, then I slipped 2 x 6" tiles in (one right on their "spot", and the other nearby). They quickly adopted the tile. When I pull the tile on the 7th day, I replace it with a tile I have in another tank, this way my male ocellaris doesn't go crazy and start swimming everywhere looking for his missing treasure.. They now use the same spot on one of two different tiles. (alternate tiles each spawn). I find they like the rougher back side of the tile over the smooth front, so I place the tiles with that side out..
I will try for pics of the new fry in a day or two (letting them get used to their fry tank and learn how to hunt for now). Tomorrow I should be able to snap a few pics of the 6 week old ocellaris. They are so adorable at that age / size, and perfect miniatures of the parents (except that their front bottom fins are both black, kinda looking like they have a little, uhm, waste matter hanging on)..
