A Great Way to ruin a perfect wall; My 400 Gallon Project

The first picture is stunning.

Sorry, I can't make it. I've got acrylic piled up in the garage and a list to focus upon. ;)

I have to GET the bulbs in before I post pics!!!! I hope that they ship them out today!

The corals should come Dec 1st! I'll post pics after, this weekend for sure! :pimp:

Hey Marc, if you want to come by and help me mount frags!!! Hint hint, I should be home by 6:30! LOL

You need before and after shots :) PICS PICS PICS...

Well Shawn, here are some pictures.

The bad thing about such a big tank is that little frags look REALLY little.:( I can't wait to post around April.;)

The new bulbs are burned in. There is still so much that I need to do, but I can't seem to get it done on the weekends.

Is it just me or is there SPS corals suspend in mid air.....

Man I have to quite smoking this crap......:bum:

What is the container on the right side for? Also been smoking some of Blide's stash cause I see coral suspension as well. Cause I got high, Cause I got High, Cause I got High.

Little bit of Afroman tune at the end for those wondering.

Eventhough the progress is slow, it is always worth it. Its fun to watch peoples tanks grow. You all give us ideas on how we would like to do things.

I know the feeling about not getting enough done on the weekends. Between playing engineer full time, taking masters enginerring classes, and spending time my gf there never seems to be time on the side to finish the tank. On the bring side the GF has been very supportive, helps where she can, and has helped contribute to the tank. I'm guessing your wife is equally as suportive.

The tank looks great! I'll go back to lurking :D

They look like they are suspended in air because my ORP is so high! LOL, Actually, I stole that from Dick Perrin. I have my A. Yongei suspended by fishing line. They coral recessed and I wanted to try to grow the tissue over the dead skeleton. I also didn't want a nidus for algae that the tangs couldn't get to.

Check out these cool top down shots!

Looking very nice Ryan. I'm glad the bulbs are working out so well for you. Is the 4th pic the tenius you were talking about?

So you like your tort now don't you? Once you bad mouthed her, she went and had some plastic surgery with those new Reeflux lights! Simply awesome.

You know your an addict when you become excited about lights!:D

Ohhh she understands the financial effect that this tank will have on us! We just moved into our new home. Once we get this tank up and running, THEN we will buy window treatments, a new bed room set, paint and all that good stuff.

So we finally got some plantation blinds today. LOL
Good thing the mermaid is still on board!
They look cool, but not as good as the tank.

Well I have FINALLY got the backing up on the tank! Boy, such a simple thing. I never had time to go to the plastics place to pick up the sheet of coroplast board. They aren't open on weekends and I'm always working on the weekdays.:mixed:

I'm pretty happy with the way it looks. My Vlamingii Tang has been freaking out all day! I guess he feels closterphobic?

Now the big $$ ticket items and I wait for everything to continue to grow!:D

All I did was take some industrial strength Velcro, place it on the back of the tank and stick the board up. It will come off easy to inspect the back of the tank. Unfortunately, the overflow boxes were black, so I was stuck with the black hole. What do you guys think?

One of the things that I have been contemplating is having a fire sprinkler system installed in the ceiling. All of these treads about fire have made me pretty paranoid. My dad (a retired firefighter) doesn't think that it would be to difficult. Maybe I should ask a plummer
