A. Latezonatus Question

WDLV

Skunk Hybrid Freak
If you have kept latezonatus clowns for any length of time, please respond to the following questions. I'm not gonna ask where you got it. If you care to volunteer that info, I'll probably mess myself but it is welcome information.

1. How long was it in your possession?
2. How long was it at the LFS or hobbiest's tank before you got it?
3. Was it in a dedicated tank?
4. What was the size of the tank that it was in.
5. Did you have a nem in the tank with it?
6. Was this a conventional setup or was it more of a breeding tank ie: bare bottom, clay pot and tile?

Thanks in advance for your reply.

With their availailty and hefty price tag I doubt "many" people have bought them. I have only seen them in one LFS and he wouldn't sell them for anything. I would love to get a pair but I don't have the funds. :( Many reefers problems.

I know he kept his pair in a 75gal, full of mushrooms, VHO lighting, no anemone.

Hope this helps
Cheers

Remembered seeing some tank raised ones pictures, I wonder where those comes from or whom attempted such.

You can also do a search over the last year and get some info.

Kept 4 pairs, years ago. Two in my main system and two in a seperate (cooler) system. Anemone with only one of them. Ate anything. Never had any issues, except they all went blind within a year. CC with live rock and a clay pot in each tank. Got half of them from Randy at Marine Center as soon as they came in. Rest I got from my LFS (as soon as they came in) who got them from Quality Marine.

Good luck finding them now. They were more plentifull, and cheaper, 7-10 years ago.
