Hello All,
as many of you know I broke down most of my older system in March and have been trying to set up the new tank. Of course the way things go there is always a hick up or two getting everything done. Trying to pick the best equipment for the tank and not having to do it over again another time. Plumbing nightmares and trying to keep a large build on some kind of budget.
I think I'm going in the right direction. The tank has been up and running now since July now. a few months of cycling. All things are starting to come together. I went thru a huge algae bloom adding the lights which set me back but now I am starting to see the corals at the end of the tunnel
here is the tank in early October as I got the Angel LED, on my 8020 light rack. At the end of the day I like how this came out but it was a pain as I never worked with 8020 before and no instructions made me install and take this apart many times

I did some shopping at the Reefapoolza event and bought a bunch of corals from WWC. I will say I hate the frag plug look but it is a step in the right direction. I have spend more then a few evening now gluing things down and I think I have a few more to go but this is how it is so far.

A quick shot of the other side of the tank

One of my Favorite fish so far ORA blackline blenny.

Favorite coral at the moment

I know this project is going to take a while to get to the level where I want it but so far I am liking where it is at. I think after a year or so it will start to fill in and look better. starting off with over 40 acro frags was a little overwhelming but very happy all is glued on these.
I will be looking for some more frags after the holidays as I am waiting for my calcium reactor to arrive in the next week or so.
In the meantime I am testing on dosing daily. A very large cleaner crew has made a huge difference on the progression of the tank.
We will see how this tank does in the next few months. My goal on fish is small and schooling fish. I do have about 4 different types of clownfish in it including some awesome deluxe Clarkis. The bar gobies and komaharo blennies give it a nice look but my brothers old 8 year old sailfin tang has adapted well and very happy in a much larger tank.
