In the beginning there were 3 sides....

You know your tank looks very familiar. I know, we are Tank Mates!

James is a great guy. He did get sick last week. It delayed some tanks from being shipped out. Mine was delayed. I think he's still under the weather as he shipped mine, but hasn't gotten me the tracking number. Im expecting mine sometime this week. Its almost the same size. 96x36x32. I bet you he thought he was making the same tank twice working on ours.

Im jealous of your Flowwolfs. I saw those in another thread. I want a couple.

Wow Tony thats an aweseom looking tank!!!! I love the overflow! I had wanted to do a coast to coast but with the tank being up against a wall I was afraid it would be too difficult to access the middle sections of it. James assured me that I could stand on the eurobracing onces its complete but I didnt want to take a chance with that. James really is a great guy to deal with and I told him there was no rush on my tank so he should take his time if he didnt feel up to working on it.

Do you have a build thread????

I don't have a build thread yet. I haven't purchased much equipment. I have the stand, ro unit, and now the tank. I've got one 300g stock tank that will be used for a sump, and will have another one for a Refugium. I'm on a budget so I'm having to buy a piece here and there. I'm shooting for everything to be up and running by the end of the year.

Sounds like you're almost there! Definitely post some pics of the tank when it arrives!

This is interesting. This is what James uses for the closed loop inlets. This will connect the two 2" inlets together in the tank.

Looks like it is just about ready to go. Will it be shipping soon? How is the unpacking going? Been able to break away to start the stand?

Bottom goes on tomorrow and it might ship out on Friday. Unpacking is moving along little by little. I haven't been able to do anything with the stand yet but my plan is to by the wood this weekend.

Beautiful. James makes a work of art!

Just curious though, why go with a black bottom? Are you going sand less?

I have had frag tanks in the past that had black bottoms and really liked the way they looked. I am going to go bare or almost bare bottom with this tank.

That closed loop intake is a work of genius. fish and invertebrate safe. Are you going external overflow? I cant remember.

Hey Wayne...I really had a hard time picturing in my mind what the drain would look like when James was describing it to me over the phone. I then stumbled across a build with a tank made by him and could see how the drain works and what it looks like. I am a little concerned about how I will clean it if it gets clogged since it will be on the bottom of the tank. James said that the tank and the brace will be stroung enough for me to lay on or stand on the tank. So I see myself laying across the tank to reach the bottom for any kind of maintenance it might need.

As far as the the overflows go....I decided on external. They are pictured in one of the pics I posted.

I just saw it when I looked back. Well dont break your diet. I hate to see the new build thread on how I went fishing cleaning the closed loop.
