When the family starts making hints about cremation you'll know you're in trouble. ;)

Nice picture with the younger ones and even better with the senior KID!!!
Thanks Osama!

There we go, now its official!

How are the plans for the fish room coming along?

I finally found someone to do it and he wants to start on the 7th but we will be traveling up to NJ for about 10 days so he won't be starting until the 21st now. So hopefully by the end of June the tank will be plumbed and ready for water. I have been going thru my boxes looking to see what I have and what I will need. I was happy to see that other than the cracks in the skimmer nothing else was damaged. I placed an order with BRS for fittings and I will try to get the closed loops plumbed before we leave on the 6th.

You've waited a year. What's another month, right. Glad to hear that everything else survived the move.

How about rock? I assume you aren't going to do the pukani experiment again and go with that really nice live rock that you used to replace it. Any thoughts on bringing that in early and cycling it in sperate containers while you get the tank ready?

Oh yeah...definitely using pukani this time. I ordered a bunch of marco rock back in november for the black friday sale. Im going to use that in DT and I am going to order 100-150lbs of live rock from tampa bay saltwater. I will put a few of those pieces in the dt and then the rest will go in the live rock tank that will be in the fish room. I thought about starting to cure the marco rock but my garage has been hitting temps in the 90's. I definitely miss having a basement!!!!!

Don't think there would be any harm in starting the dry rock curing at those temps to get the bacteria going and to see if leaches any phosphate. That way there aren't any surprises when you put it in your display.

HAHA good one Dave. Steve the tank looks awesome, I knew you would be back in. Your tangs are doing great btw, they keep watching me work on the 300 gallon across the room and want in asap lol.

I want to build some structures that might require some bonding. I could start working on that and then put them in some bins to start cycling. Just need to find some time.

Thats great Ari!!!!! Im really happy to hear that the tangs are doing great! I like to see and hear that the livestock I sold off last year is doing well. Darren is holding onto a few pieces of coral that I had for a long time. He sends me pics from time to time.

Yeah said I could do it if I wanted to but not necessary. He said that the two pieces of 3/4" were enough. Maybe with the steel stand you have he thought it would be good.
