Bill are you going to be like Ray and have the wife on again and off again? LOL Ray breaks up and no Simona, they get back together and the avatar reappears LOL Atleast it keeps all of us in the loop :)

Ray doesn't know how good he's got it!
On again off again, lol.
There is no such thing when you're married. You're either married or divorced. Or... single and thinking that once you get married life will get better or be something better then just dating. Suckers!

And there is no doubt gents, once you got her (married) it's far cheaper to keep her than to divorce her.

Or you can be newly single after learning the hard way about "married life"...living your own life, no one to tell you what to do...new job, soon to be new apartment, new car...

ahhh... yep. Life is good. :)

I'm really glad to see that things are looking up for you, Christine. Undoubtedly, there are times when staying together is just not an option. My point above was really about alimony and/or support payments that in most cases make staying married less costly for a man than a divorce.
Of course, this is not a blanket statement. My wife left her Ex, with his kids, and never looked for a dime from him. Actually, it would have been cheaper for me if he kept her!

It's like that old question... Why do single people live longer?

Because they want to! :lmao:

Lar,
Who knew marriage was so much work!?

Larry--thanks, yes things are going well despite Bill's defining me as the house "cumare"... I'm not one of those women who are out for blood either--I have asked for and gotten nothing more than some financial support for my son. It's not easy being a single parent but well worth every moment. :) My son is an absolute joy to me.

BTW, whose cumare am I supposed to be? I'm living with my brother--and as incestuous as this club gets that's just weird. This is Suffolk, not West Virginia.

Actually Bill figured me out--I'm Doug's wife's cumare--Jess and I have been carrying on for years...

It's actually Cu Mare (which I understand) All day yesterday it was bothering me that I didn't know what a cumare is. I felt like it was right on the tip of my tongue (bad pun) but I just couldn't grasp it.
In the light (actually, darkness. Look at the post time) of a new day, I read it with the accent in the right place, and the world was right once again.

Hey, you guys better watch it: this is a family-friendly forum. Some of the recent posts are getting awfully close to reminding one of the taste of tuna fish and we'd sure hate to see the mods close this thread down because of that ;)

Santa, who's had enough of his share of tuna to last ten lifetimes.
