Not sure if her anenomes sting - (dont they all?) but I think I got stung once. Not bad at all, I felt something yesterday, but given the situation wasnt paying attention to that really - noticed this morning my finger a bit puffy and a spot on it).

Doug,

Keep up the current and the water temp, put in a shot of amquel to take care of any ammonia spikes from the disruption and things should be fine till more permanent arrangements can be made.

Amquel? What do you think - I'm a mobile fish hospital? Current should be good- tem,op should be not unreasonable - I'll dump in a heater shortly - its in a fairly warm area.

I have an actual unsetup tank I can move stuff into, and can get something better than what it has now- but at that stage i think it'd be easier for a temporary adoption. I'm not really set up myself for everything at the moment - and the fish are taking a low priority at the moment as well.

Doug,

I know there are some higher priorities right now. If any of us can be of help with any of them, just ask ;)

In their current state how long can they go? Basically what it is right now is a rubbermaid sump - maybe 20g, that I threw everything into. There are two powerheads in there aimed up to bubble as much as I could make them. I can put in a heater when later but as of now its slowly drifting to whatever temp my houyse is next to a base board - uhh not in front of a baseboard up against it- but rit doesnt run the whole wall length and i put it next to where it stops (no extreme temp swing s- but warmer then the rest of my houses ambient temp).
Thats it, no lights, no filtration, whatever sump crap was in there is still in, probablty macro squished at the bottom now. I grabbed all the coral on rock, a snail or two, two clowns, a purple-y fish (about 2-3 inches) and a rock looking fish that looks like an old man. He used to hand around and sit on the rocks. Two anenomes... one that was symbiotic with the clowns- I pink giant flowery thing, maybe an rbta???
Like I said, I have no idea whats going on - and if you guys think it wont survive more than another day or whatever- then I'll step in now and let whoever come and foster home it for howevr long. Christine wont mind and shes busy doing other stuff- so you guys know best - just tell me what to do with it.

anyone? i fear the clock is ticking on her fishies and coral... i know she (christine) cant get to email or here probably at least th e rest of the day - and if these wont live and can be saved id like to arrange housing before the end of the day...

if you can keep the fish in the rubbermaid with a power head and heater and just do mini water changes on there then the fish will be ok and as for the corals and what not anything you feel is a priority stick in your tank or sump if you can fit it. and for the lps and no so light intensive even if you sit the container near your tank that should be enough light. thats the steps i would take until something more stable can be worked out.

Doug when i qt my fish i use the same size rubbermaid container and i dont have any lights just heater and powerhead. and i have been keeping corals and fish in there. im not doing sps so i dont have anything too light intensive so the residual light from the main tank should be more than enough even ambient room lighting will do for those more light intensive i would if you have to acclimate the ones you can fit in the tank. they should be ok so dont worry and as bill said a little amquel goes a long way

Doug I have a spare tank that I can set up and can assist with the fish if you don't want to keep them in the rubbermaid. I don't have any lights though that will support corals. I live in Deer Park,
Let me know....

Also , I don't know why or what happened as to why you now have these fish/corals.
But If you want I have a 55 gal or a 29 gal tank you can have gratis....
and I might have a filter or two that I can put together that you can use.

Christine can fill in the details as soon as she has a spare moment - but at the moment she doesnt have time to be concerned over them and I am housing them among other living beings. If I already had a tank set up it (fish/coral) it would be no issue whatsoever - but i dont - so the help I could provide was rescuing from where they surely would have died. I figure that would provide a day or so-

For the last time i can house her stuff. Let me know soon before i have a few drinks too many and cant drive later :) Again you have a PM

Doug, not quite sure what's going on but it sounds that its Christine's live stock, I'm in Port Jefferson Station just a few min. from her, if you need anything just let me know, I have a 100gal sump + a empty 50gal drum.

Octavio to the rescue!
