A problem anemone

I have an atlantic carpet nem that stung me a couple of weeks ago. But that's not the problem I am talking about. Before I got the atlantic carpet, I have this condy that got sucked by a powerhead and lost plenty a tentacles. It was injured big time. I thought it will soon die so I bought the atlantic carpet. I never really gave up on the condy and place it in the sump with moderate flow and fed it patiently. It recovered and was placed back in the display. For a few weeks it stayed at the bottom of the tank and I thought it learned its lesson not to wander again and get sucked by a powerhead. Well, this morning it was wedged in the hydor, half of its body was inside and the other half outside. I turned off the hydor and left it alone because I thought if I try to pry it off that slit, I will definitely tear it apart. It somehow did not get chopped by the propeller because it was deflated. Well, this evening it freed itself and now it is sitting inside my hydor. I'm afraid it is only a matter of time I will lose this guy from a powerhead. :( Any tips on how to keep him away from the powerheads?

maybe get more flow in the tank it seems like he is attracted to the high water flow , and thats getting him in trouble. so maybe by increasing water flow everywhere he will chill out

Problem is, it does not attach itself on anything. It is always on the go. It will stay in a low flow for a few days but it moves around frequently (at the bottom). When it gets in area of high flow, trouble starts because it gets tossed aroung and ends up in one of the powerheads.

Here's an idea: cover up the powerheads so he can't get stuck in them. Covering up powerheads and overflows is a precaution to take before buying an anemone. KarensRoseAnemones.com has info on that.

An anemone doesn't have a brain, so it's not like you can say he learned his lesson.

If your nem is always moving, it's looking for something, usually more light or proper conditions for nems.

How would you cover a Koralia without impeding on the flow? It's easy for you to say.
You may be right that they do not have brain but they have nervous sytem that allow them to avoid noxious stimuli. And don't be literal. I may listen to your advise when you don't live with your parents anymore...probably.

Lowering the flow rate a little is just something you'll have to accept. I don't think it'll make a difference. Also, look at my profile. My birthday is 5/24/92, so I'm only 15. Of course I live with my parents.

you can't never make condy's happy.im fairly new to this hobby but my condy it's been with me for about 6 months now.i tried everything...more flow, less flow, more light etc.but the fact is condy's like to move around.mine's host a clown and it still move's
