My wife got the i3 this May and we're both very pleased. Is a dream to drive, very comfortable and got the BMW quality feeling. And here in Norway there are so many benefits and subsidies that one just have to get a electric car. Actually Tesla Model S is the most sold car in Norway, and beat the sales record from 1987 with most sold cars in one month. We get free toll road passings, free parking and charging where available, almost no year road tax, driving in bus and taxi lanes. And the car itsself have no taxes what so ever when buying.

Me and my daughter went drewling over the new i8 the other day:

any trouble with parasites using sea water?

No not at all, but i dont collect during the summer, because the water holds more nutrition and algea during the short summer. I only collect from autumn to spring. Then the water is normally from 5 to 12 Celcius. The water holds 1.026, KH7 and CA380, so I buff KH and CA before use. The water comes from the northern sea.

This is where we collect:

Thanks Danny! :)
Oh, there are loads of software trouble for the new I3, we've had lots with our car, and i read a lot of people that have the same trouble. It seems to be just software issues and not mechanical. I guess thats the future for mechanics, that you also need to be a computer expert to fix cars today. I know the aircondition has been a common error, and is fixed with a click on the computer. They will fix the cause of the error with a big software update coming mid august. A part from the baby diseases, you are right, it is a very well buildt car. :)

When i collect water i normally bring my 5 galon jugs and carry it to the car, but on the pictures we pumped the water into 4x 260 galon tanks. The water is very clean. There are no industry, rivers or creeks for miles away, and it constantly gets refreshed by the streams from the northern sea. No need to filter :)

You're from canada? I think you also have the lux of clean water nearby then? What are the values of the sea water you collect? And do you filter?

Regards
Kalle

Hej!
Wow your tank looks amazing!
Too bad I can't collect water from the Baltic :/
I was also looking the other day into getting the i3 to get around here in Stockholm. Is it really that good?

Update for you gear freaks out there
Finally got my new Red Dragon 12000 liter returnpump and a new 36 Aqua Medic UV in place. Redid some of the plumbing. Now the biopellets reactor feed directly into the UV filter and then the skimmer inlet, as I've read is the way to go. Took a bunch of pictures of the setup. I'm a gear freak myself, and I tend to enjoy pictures like these, just as much as pictures of corals and fish. :-)

Thanks for the comments, all :)

Great build. How is your acro selection growing?
I've had some trouble with the KH balling tank. Turns out it was a dead mixture, and did not raise the KH level at all. I've been struggeling with this all summer, and have had very little growth and coloring. I've tested and the KH value, no less than 22 times these 3 months, trying to locate the problem. Now I have finally stabilized all the values, found the correct balling dose and are on the right track again. The acroporas are showing great coloration and good growth the last week. During this period I've also sent all 4 radions to repair. The fans were dead, or very noisy on all 4 units. I sent two and two units in for repair, so I have some light while the other two are away.

Soon I hope the LFS will get some more selection of acropora, so i can get some more acro beauties. :)

Beautiful tank!
My only question, not meant to be a criticism, is with your 4 tangs in a 140 gallon tank
Some of those tangs will grow to a foot long if you feed them regularily...
How you gonna deal with that?

How difficult was it to drill the bottom? I'm sure it was scary. :-)

I have the 160XL and I'm drilling it for the ghost overflow. Back wall is much easier to drill.

Should be fine. Elos tanks are 32" wide and 4 tangs not a big deal plus the rock scape is open so ample room for fish to swim. :-)
