Yesssss i share my love for LEDs with you. they bring out some amazing coral colourations. The cameras do not capture them well enough, its so much better when seen in real. Right?

I was so lucky and had a great opportunity to see Howard's tank in person 2 weeks ago. The color of the corals was so good, you really have to see it in real life. His tank is so beautiful and clean, compact and meticulously kept. It is one of the best tanks I have ever seen in person.
Howard, very nice meeting you and thanks for the hospitality and lessons learned.

Thanks Bernie! :)

I've been really busy lately but managed to take a few FTS and fish shots over the weekend, here they are!

looks good, sohal looks nice and healty.

Thanks Ryan!

I was so worried about him when I first got him, if you read this thread you'll know for about 2 weeks it had unsheathed its left scalpel! Yikes!

http://www.reefcentral.com/forums/showthread.php?t=2054881

It also only ate nori, didn't like anything else including mysis, brine shrimp, pellets, etc. so I had to make my own "Sushi roll" (nori rolled up with flakes and added Kent Zoecon). It liked it and start gaining weight and color.

And earlier this week, it started eating pellets! YAY! I'm so happy that I don't have to worry about him not getting enough nutrient :)

Simply stunning Howard
Beautiful colours and great PE
The growth rate is just amazing.
Thanks for sharing.

Looks awesome great job!

Thanks guys! :)

Glad to hear I had read that thread but awesome to hear it worked out well. Also good job getting it on pellets I'm trying to be my achilles onthe but won't touch them after 7 months, how did you get it to take pellets?

How long u been using those leds bud?

For this tank, since it was built in 01/2011, so 9 months.

If you ask how long I've been using LEDs on these corals (many were brought over from my 20g nano), the answer is almost 2 years, my 20g nano started around 12/2009.

I didn't do anything special, one day it saw some pellets sunk to the bottom, and it tried to give it a little nip, then I guess it liked it and start taking bigger bites, the next thing I know it was chasing pellets all over the tank when I drop them :)

Very nice !!!! I love sohal tang, but be careful ,this guy can become very agressive

Best Regards

Thanks - yes I know it's very aggressive, I have not introduced any new fish (and will not) after adding this sohal, like everyone said the sohal is the last fish you'll ever add to your aquarium (unless you upgrade to a new tank where everything resets)

:)

Superrrrrrbbbbbbb.
Great job bro.
Looks really amazing. Great colours, growth and SPS in prime health.
A biggg testimony that good quality LEDs do their job in growing SPS.
You have done us LED users proud.
Keep up the great job.
Thanks for this cool update.

Happy Reefing!!

I completely agree that you have done LED lighting a massive credit.

I love the colours.

What are the current additives you are using and the current dosages?

If you use any Zeo products like CV or CS or Aminos which in your opinion is the best?

Thanks Howard, and keep up the good work! :p
