I'd like to return, but Kevin's throwing AEFW's in my tank. Biggles's is up to no good as usual...sigh

Just found more AEFW's, so maybe in a couple months I'll be done with the AEFW's....and Kevin :p

I just beat AEFW's. I hate them. But beat them. Took me 3 months. Was terribly tiring at first man. But I didnt want to lose my large Red Planet and Blue Tort colonies I grew from tiny 1inch frags.

Have a look in my thread I did document some of it. My worst off coral was my Hot Pink Millepora. the AEFW ravaged that coral. I cut healthy tips and now its a nice small colony grown from the small frags that have joined together.

I tried to get hold of Bayer from the USA but Royal Mail bastards didnt deliver it and returned it back to the states. So I used TLF Revive. Didnt lose any acros.

Get a buddy to help you with the dipping the first few times. Document and inspect each coral. Once you dont see any new AEFW's, you can relax a bit and dip a bit faster.

Otherwise just start anew.
 
I did consider nuking it from orbit but Kevin refused to climb aboard that firecracker that biggles sent over:p, or killing them all with FIRE!! :p

Sahin, I dipped them every two weeks for months, thought I was DONE with them... Corals were growing, no bite marks anywhere..... Then I did one last dip last week... and lo and behold, those #$#%$% were back......

I've managed to save "most" of my favourite pieces, but they're tiny poo versions of what they were before.... I really need to be more thorough with my dipping, but really it's possibly the most annoying reefing experience...ever :), and I end just running through it...doesn't help.

I'll be off lurking again, while cursing you all :p
 
Maybe he's waiting for all the lurkers to finally pipe up before a posting a killer update!

You have to dip every week to break the cycle. I also used revive to beat them back when I had them. Dipped every week for 8 weeks to be sure and it took a few screw ups to get it right. I skipped one week on week three and found eggs again. So I actually dipped for around 12 weeks straight. Good luck bello!

Biggles I am really curious as to how everything is looking!
 
Sorry for being absent for so long guys but i've had a lot on my plate with family things and been away a fair bit. I promise to reply to everyone and answer PM's over the weekend but the main thing is, i haven't killed anything since i last posted :thumbsup:

You can see the cyano i'm battling atm which is why i have no acro porn to show you guys unfortunately......
