A Splash of Color

Do you know who Christian supplys in the uk pal if I can find that out I'd put the thumb screws on the owner to get more hits in .

Pretty sure you guys have got the thieving contacts off Chris already on the farm thread. :)

Here's a tip i shouldn't really tell you but since it's Xmas and all....... you'll have a lot more success acclimating any stuff from aus if you talk very quietly when you're near the tank - your pommie accent can cause browning as the acros try to block their ears with zoa........ you're welcome, merry Xmas - and don't overdo the warm pig swill that passes for beer over there ok -

I'm like an international acro goodwill ambassador at Xmas time, handing out tips and cheer to my fellow international reefers

Hey Andrew,
Just wanted to say thanks for sharing your reefing adventures with me/us this year! it has been great fun reading your threads for yet another year. Have a happy, healthy and safe holiday season!! P.S. the snowman is great.

Thanks Scott, i hope you and your family stay safe and have a wonderful holiday season too even though i just checked and it's a cold hole as usual over there............ anywhere you can build a real snowman is nowhere good mate.

Pretty sure all the gangster movies i watched as a kid were set in Chicago......... not that i'm suggesting everyone in Chicago is a gangster........ just most of you........ :reading:

Andrew your colours ,despite your problems, remain brilliant! As far your slow growth, did you ever consider as a reason, the very strong light? Listening Dana's Riddle talk, at Macna 2016, yours excellent colours with slow growth, came in my mind....

About a week ago i dropped my 2 x 400W radiums back from 7 hours to 4 hours a day because it's the only constant over the years. I mentioned it to Dom when he was over last. Basically no matter what type of water i run or parameters i have kept over the years i never had good growth so the only thing left is the high light i always use.

Those acros look so nice all one can do is dream about a tenth of that ever reaching the shores of rainy Britain.

Having said that...Sustainable reefs are sneaking a few frags to this gloomy place and a few may have made their way into my tank :spin2:

What a bloody surprise ! .......... trust you to add stolen aus frags without saying anything - how long have you been hiding these acros if i may ask ?
Don't know why i even ask really, you couldn't lie straight in bed when it comes to declaring stuff you have.............

Completely unrelated but check out the frag i found just now......... it had fallen down the back rock wall and the gyre must have blown it out and it ended up jammed on the rock work.........:twitch:

Happy Holidays. Everytime I look at your photos, I am so impressed by the richness of color in your acros. It really is inspiring. All so beautiful!!!

And the same to you my friend :)

Merry Christmas Andrew

Thanks Jess, have a great new year buddy. :)

I love how Christmas vacation is playing in the background. One of my favorite movies. Merry Christmas andrew

Always watch that movie Xmas eve and all day Xmas day. Hope you have a great new year mate :)

Happy Holidays. Everytime I look at your photos, I am so impressed by the richness of color in your acros. It really is inspiring. All so beautiful!!!

Thanks Mark, have a safe and happy new year buddy. They probably look like that because they grow so slowly they spend all their excess energy producing pigments to protect themselves from my excess lighting...... going to find out over the next few weeks hopefully.

I don't really see much difference between new pieces and older stuff tbh.... :p

And no i did not just go and stick a frag onto another acro........ :reading:

$%#$@ glassfish.........:mad2:

I'd be more worried about that piece of green and orange flubber trying to attack your enchi
Look at the disgusting horrible thing sneaking up behind the poor acro. If your quick Andrew you can :uzi: it and no harm will come to the acro. But you must be quick .

Happy New Year Mate!
Things are looking great my friend, I love your scape and one day will do another shallow tank myself, just love the coral arrangement, the colors contrasting, and the beauty you have created on the Biggles Reef, outstanding as usual Andrew!

Tank is looking awesome again Dave.
Do you have a pic of your tank before adding the corals . I like the minimalistic look
and wanted to see the scape.
