A Splash of Color

Hahaha, I read this entire 53 page journal yesterday to get the BJ dosing info.
A simple PM would have done the trick however I suspect Andrews PM box is overflowing with questions or work / life has taken over leaving little time for everything else.
Along the way I picked up great tips for mounting frags and I thank you Andrew for sharing those tutorial tips.
Anyway a ripper read filled with photos , progress and laughs along the way.

I love all the colors in this picture. Great Job!!!

I got the Triton results - water is bang on pristine ocean reef perfect as i knew it would be.

The only thing about the Triton testing i don't like is the rude German guy who had a little rant about who knows what at the end of the results page :rolleye1:

I should probably email them back and let them know one of their test guys has gone rogue and is adding nasty messages at the end of customer's result sheets. Fairly certain 'stark' is German for idiot but i didn't hit the translate button to find out because anything starting with 'Achtung' is bound to be nasty and insulting as you all know. :twitch:

Need my Sat morning coffee, quite chuffed about the perfect Triton results tbh :)

Buddy you have so many warnings for such an awesome tank,wth??:uhoh3:
Please drink your coffee and talk about details!

Don't care if your zinkwert is high or down....i still love the tank:p:p

Switch to English and post the results. I want to compare to what I am getting.

Andrew - love the "coral-scape" shot. Nice array of colors and different corallite structures.

OMG Andrew, so many "Achtung" warnings LOL! You gave them quite a fright! Good job, ur acros look great BTW

Thanks guys :)

I'm in the middle of some acro scaping so i'm not stopping lol. Here's the results. I had been dosing 1-2 drops lugols, 0.7ml koral color to 1.5ml trace hard for weeks but 30 mins before taking the water sample i dosed 4 drops lugols, 2ml koral color and 4ml of trace hard. I wanted to see what screamed out as being heavily present in the dosing liquids.

Turns out you were all wrong about the manganese thing being the metal responsible........:p

I haven't dosed potassium or magnesium in over three months btw........

Hi Andrew,
Great result with no water changes!
Did you test copper, potassium, boron, iodine, strontium yourself too?
What do you think about high level of copper, what may be a source of it?
Also Aluminium level is high, is the Siporax or matrix can be a source of Al?

None of those results are a surprise based on your dosing Andrew. You are playing with certain elements to enhance the colours of your acros. No different than the Zeo and AF people, all good. It would be interesting to see the long term effects, say 5 years out.

I'm officially on the Biggles bandwagon. Added 4L of Matrix in my zeo reactor and started dosing Koralcolor and Replenish today. My system is 40g, my dose is .4ml Kc and .6ml Replenish daily. Any thoughts on the dosage amount?

Agreed..
I find it interesting that your copper is so high, yet you have no pale corals.. Pure, dark saturation of color..
Very interesting results..

Didn't you do a little overdose of kc and lugols before taking a sample. That high copper reading could be from that right?

Trace hard has the copper. It's not in the Koralcolor.
Yes, he over dosed that was well, but would one dose do that?
Who knows.
