Hi comunnity

My name is aaron and I have to confese I am SPS addict, since my 1 55 wmart mixed tank I was facinated by the SPS coloration and froms. I tear down the tank afeer 2 years and I always dream a huge big tank with SPS.

I had the oportunity 2 years ago to buy a used display A solana XL 67 I felt inlove with the rimless tipe, I own a elos and I realy like the rimless aquarium special on SPS.

I took the aquarium and I start to make some modifications, I really like the acuarium but the center overflow took a lot amount of space so I tooke it out drill returns ad here we go!!!!

LOl you are rigth guys , but my wife call me yestarday to dinner and you know when the wife call is more than a command!!

I have the same tank and would love to do this but unfortunately mine is already up and running. Check out the R30 Sump from Precision Marine it fits perfect. Good luck.

I have to say than for this proyect I have been working slow and when my work and wallet allow me to doit.

So I had the tank lets start working in a Sump,

As this is a small tank per say, the cabinnet space is very limit for all the equipment than the SPS needs, SO I came up with a small factor sump trying to get the most room free for equipment.

The sump will home a Vertex Alpha Cone 170 for skimming and I am trusting it will do a good job for this tank.

I have to work on a very litte space to put skimemr chamber, refugium, trap bubble baffles, return pump and a water top off chamber. But the result was great in that space.

Ok I have the tank done and ready, I have the sump.....lets start the plumbing
As I said before I am looking since the bigginning this tank to be easy to tear apart if something is not working as it should, belive me it paids off LOL.

everithing was mage on Spears sch80 plumbing

As the space was reduce and was no space for durso I made some muffle silence and tooke the air intake at the bottom of the cover. I did 2x 1", 1 will be puting water in the skimmer and 1 a gentle flow in the refugium.

I finally got around to taking some photos this weekend. The original photo was June 5th 2012 and the second was April 14th 2013. It seems like the nothing has grown but I forgot how small everything was in the beginning.

thnak you for the pics, I have seen some grown on the corals but I seen some cyano problem, that I think is making your grown to held back. IMO. Check your parameters and make adjustment I think your corals will be benefit and you will have 2 times nice the take you have right now. I see a lot of investment (3 MP10, 4 AI) so it just adjust a few things.

I have a huge cyano issue right now. I was using GFO for 6 months decided to go back to cheeto in my sump instead... bam cyano everywhere. It's clearing up but not quick enough. Water changes and patients. Slow and steady alway prevails.
